Recommended Posts

I am trying to change and customize setting in my BIOS and I was just wondering if anybody knew a way that I could get into my BIOS without having to restart my computer......I've never heard of a way you could do this but that doesn't mean anything.....Please help make my life a little easier...I appreciate any input!

Certain manufacturers will allow some BIOS settings to be changed,

with their own OCing programs.

Usually limited to FSB, voltages, etc.

Will yours allow it?

I don't think mine does because I bought my computer from Dell and from what I understand there are a lot of restrictions with it. Would I have to hunt for the OCing programs or would the option just listed in the BIOS?

OEM pc's like Dells, HP's, Gateway's have the bios set to thier specs so those options to O/C aren't available. The only solution that I know of, is to get a retail motherboard and install it,(you'll need a new case too) some manufacture's have better options than others in the bios
