i cant freaking believe my score was doing some research and also taking in what other people told me and d/l the new driver for my vid card and voila all time highest for me http://www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress.asp?id=9QXVFWBFSQWSSD0J

just wish my disk scores were higher like some of the other peoples ive seen on here with 2 drives in raid 0 but ill guess ill have to live with it and really cant wait to get the new ram now especially after seeing what this ram can do el cheapo samsung cant wait til i get some high quality sticks. and the best thing its stable everest says

SWEETSPOT?

Nice OC. That's more than I could get out of my 3400+.

thanx man this thing has been driving me crazy to try to get it where i want it to be at and since i dont sleep very much cause i have a ruptured disk i figure i would take tonight out and give it the big heave ho and push it to see what it had, and here it is might be more room to improve just not sure i know the ram im wanting to get will prolly give me a big boost when i get it (i hope so anyway)and gonna get 2 92mm antec tornados for my case to tame the temps all though they arent too bad i dont think but we will see how it goes. thanx for responding, THOMAS

TubbyTubb, looks good!!

i owe you a :b33r::b33r: caintry_boy you were the one that told me about the memory timings but the only thing i did was set it at 166 left everything else (as far as the ram goes) on auto then i just started bumping the fsb and had to start lowering the ht link speed and then the multiplier, i seriously cant wait to get new ram could you look at my other post NEW HIGH SCORE? and let me know which of those sticks would be better for me? also 1 more thing how do those temps look are they about average or are they high? anyway thanx for the replys. Gigabyte K8N Pro Sli

Upgrades coming soon :shifty:

thanx for the specs. I think ill prolly upgrade to this ram on the advice of caintry_boy. im hoping this will give me a nice little bump in the memory score, and i really wish i could upgrade the vid card to a 7900 gt but i just bought this 7300gs thought it was a pretty good card and it doesnt score badly just wish it was a little better but dont wanna pay another 150-200 for another card when this one is brand new. http://www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress.asp?id=P9KGFWAVBRWSVMPJ

This is the current score from my old gamer, now utility PC built 11/04. It's a 3500 Winchester on an MSI Neo Platinum 2 board /w 2x 512 G.Skill LC, 6800 GT OC (8x AGP) and 4x 160G WD SATA in RAID 0. Now relegated to cruising along pleasantly at 2.5G doing all the more important but less fun stuff PCs can do.

Oh.. And a couple o' blinky lights...

also i had a quick question is the reason the gskill DDR550/DDR500 ram either or will work/oc so well because it comes with a higher bus speed stock so even if you put it at 200mhz it will go higher because of the stock speed you can push the CPU higher which will also increase the ram bus but since your not pushing the ram past its stock speeds it reacts better? if anyone can understand what i was asking please let me know if i am understanding the principle of what the higher speed ram will accomplish when oc'ing. I think what you are refering to is the RAM's speed vs. it's timings...

CHeck this out:

http://www.overclock.net/faqs/26706-info-r...gs-dummies.html

IMO G.Skill are slightly underrated relative to other manufacturers which in turn gives them a better capability at higher speeds and since they use a lower voltage also give you more room to push them past their rated speeds.
