glimpy155
Most of those seem to have a black list feature as well. If possible disable the black list function & test. How do I do that?
smah
How do I do that? I couldn't tell you; hopefully the owners manual can. Recently I've seen similar posts caused by the blacklisting mechanism of some Belkin routers (that's why I asked that specifically). Perhaps the Zyxel routers use the same blacklist system. I just tried to connect to these sites using a wireless laptop on my system - it worked. That leads me to believe it's something with my computer, not the internet connection/router per se. travyboy00
Try running WinSockFix and see if that helps.
bfvmg
What about a Java or JavaScript issue? Some site rely heavily on those languages to get stuff done.. What sites are you trying to get to? Do they contain a lot of content (etc) that use flash or shockwave? Are they Java enabled site with Java functions on them? Some more ideas to try.
jjawinte
Hi, I can't access certain websites, such as vanguard.com and adobe.com Anyone have any ideas? Internet works fine for 99% of the sites. http://www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress.asp?id=ABNFFW1ABPJSQYHJ You know,it may be as simple as disabling any popup blocker you may be using .disable it and and try.Happens to me w/some sites ( Yahoo,Netflix,etc....).Works for me despite your internet settings.Worth a try. bfvmg
I went to vanguard. Their site is full of JS calls and scripts. I know adobe uses it. I would say a pop up blocker, or JS is turned off, perhaps flash isnt set up or is an old build.
glimpy155
Try running WinSockFix and see if that helps. Thanks. Winsockfix did the trick! Hopefully it stays that way. I appreciate everyone's help. Every time I've had a problem, the guys and girls on this forum have come through. Keep up the good work.
travyboy00
Joe, Glad to hear it! No problem at all, I actually wasn't sure if it would help or not. I guess when you get to this point, anything is worth a try. I hope it stays well for you now. The issue that Winsockfix fixes is sometimes caused by antivirus/anti-malware products removing deeply embedded viruses/malware. Cheers, t
