Guest [email protected]
I recently ran optimize and it wants to eliminate the file ctfmon.exe from startup. Does anyone know what this program does or if it is a good idea to eliminate it?
shogan191
Joseph. ctfmon.exe is part of speech and handwriting recognition in Microsoft Office. It uses a lot of resources if these features aren't being used. You should also check to see that the file path is associated with Microsoft office. In some cases it has been associated with a trojan. I've changed the rating on it to reflect this info. It should not be removed but can be stopped from running. Thanks for the help. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/282599
