brandon
I assume you plan on reusing parts? Judging by your choice of parts, am I right? Supposedly, you can get two X1900GTs and run software crossfire over the PCIe bus, with no need for any adapters, dongles, or bridges. I may be wrong though, so i'd give AMD's site a look-see. If you get lucky, you may get an X1900GT that can be unlocked to an XT. Edited December 13, 2006 by brandon
wdeydwondrer
hell of a savings on the mobo, i LOVE my 16meg cache WD drive, and what the hell does if he's reusing like his dvd drive have to do with anything? lmao
brandon
I was merely assuming, judging by the fact that he has 2GB of DDR400, and the fact that gordesky is just so happening to be upgrading to socket 939, which uses DDR400. But, what do I know? That Opteron is a steal compared to the 3800+ X2, which is like $30 more. Good choice.
ineedhelpregularly21
Optys are good OC'ers, but i'm not an AMD man
brandon
Opterons are definitely good OCers. Of course you're not an AMD man Ineedhelp, you're 13. You're an Intel boy.

wdeydwondrer
well, when getting an opteron, you normally get better than ddr400 ram, so that way you CAN overclock it a crap load.
