3 samsung spinpoint 250gbs? $80 each. over 200mb/s for me. I have another one aswell, they're great drives.

thing is i want max speed for pit test.. and looks like the raptors are fast.. are your test with 3 or 4 drives.

thanks.

Are you planning on doing anything that requires alot of HD space? If so, then I recommend the 2x 150GB Raptors, simply because they will give you more storage space for around the same price as 3x 74GB Raptors.

If ya want performance, I'd think the 3x 74GB drives will be better.

Personally, I'd go for some 15,000 RPM Seagate Cheetah drives, but that's only if I wanted absolute max performance.

I get 204mb/s with 3 drives in the pit test. With 4 on NF4 I got 270mb/s on the pit.

Hey top game,

Get these man http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16822148134, been rated preety well too.. Checked couple of reviews and its a very good drive, now if you run that in RAID, thats preety good score man, you might ending up getting like 200+mb/s. (Raptors will surely be cheaper, but I dunno, I think these drives are very good).
