those you use vista...question for you

Recommended Posts

I have a chance to get vista for free, and quite possibly very soon- final release... through my college and i thought about putting it on my gaming system.

With that... should i just stick with xp pro or make the upgrade to vista? Is there any performance leaching.

I have used Vista Beta 2, RC1, & RC2, it is ready to go but, a lot depends on your system, that being said, you can go to Microsoft & check to see if your rig is Vista ready, most likely if your system is relatively new it will pass the test. I have enjoyed Vista & will consider buying in the near future.

It depends on which flavor of Vista your being offered. The low end versions I'de give a pass since I'm a gamer. If they are offering the premimum version (retail $400) that would be a good deal :geezer:

We have this too at my office (our tech guy just offered me Vista Business on Friday but I only have 1 GIG of memory right now). Do they also offer Vista Office to you? I didn't ask at work but I hope they do.
