That's odd.

It's 9:30pm at Nkorho Pan in central South Africa.

 

There's some small deer or gazelle type animals there now.

Didn't their mother tell them not to go straying around after dark?

Now there's a large female lion drinking at the watering hole.

It had been in the background, until the Rhino left.

 

..... and now it too, is gone.

Lions seem to have taken up at least temporary lounging rights, close to the watering hole.

Not good resolution, due to "night-time b/w camera", but the brighter spots to the right and above the watering hole (the ones that move occasionally) are Lions.

I count 5 lions lounging.

edit: Doug, I think we're gaining Lions, I believe I see 7 altogether....

Yeah, I was too quick. Got all the way up to 5 Elephants and no Lions, the Lions left when the Elephants came in. Backed waaaaaaaayyy up!

:lol:

 

 

 

edit: and of course when the Elephants left, the Lions moved back in.....

Oh my.... Here comes the Zebra family.

And the Lions are already stalking/alerting/pointing, even though the Zebras are over 100 yards away and haven't seen the lions yet.

 

Could be interesting.

Could even be breakfast!
