Optimize 1.5

Recommended Posts

Guest JDQuimby

After Optimizing, I went to uninstall something and found that all the titles from the Add/Remove list were "gone". When I say "gone" I mean that they are still there but aren't visible.

How can I fix this?

If you are using Windows XP, use Windows System Restore:

Start>Programs>Acessories>System Tools>System Restore

If you are running Windows98, you will need to do a scanreg /restore:

I tried your suggestion but it didn't change anything.

Thanks just the same.

Anyone else?

You did a Windows System Restore to a point prior to installing Optimize and it did not restore the add/remove entries? Or are you running Win98 and have rebooted more than five times since it happened?

Either way, there are third party freeware applications that can do the same thing:

I did it more than once but there weren't and back-ups prior to the date this happened.

I'm not sure what to do.

And yes, I am using W98se.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for the help...

I reckon' that's my only choice other than reinstalling my OS.

Same thing is happining to me....just bought the product and the add/remove tries to load but won't. Can you fix this issue please. I should not have to use another parties program. I seem to have no other issues using your product but I'm very picky so fix this in 1.5.11 or I'll be very po'ed. I will for now use another program but FIX the PROBLEM.

Optimize comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. You may want to obtain a refund instead of waiting for an update, as this issue is very rare.

In order for us to better analyze what went wrong, can you open a help desk ticket ( http://www.pcpitstop.com/store/service.asp ) under 'request product technicsal support' and add as an attachment the logfile found at My Computer>C:\>Program Files>PC Pitstop>Optimize>optimize_log.txt?

Thank you.
