Whip 'Em Out And Compare

Well, he'll probably throw down a score that will light up the sky after I make this post but.................... I think it's safe to say he got the attention he wanted and now he is back to his atari finishing his space invaders game. Disappointing, I was looking forward to seeing what score he could put up with a machine like that.

Nice rig, that's a lot of money and a lot of work. Congratulations on being able to get that far ahead.:wp:

Here I think IG has a 7000 score somewhere and I know Gryph has a Kentsfield setup on Vapo and Exos.

Wow  Remember when a 2000 was a nice score? Those are some nice systems mentioned  Edited by b21wayne

Once upon a time, a long time ago in this ancient month called "May 2006", Core 2 Duos weren't out yet.

I also spent uder $1000 on the entire thing.

Ya here's mine and spent a tad bit under 800 for it...(including the monitor..)

TEST

Not to bad for a sub 1,000 box..

and sho, you got one of gryphs kentsfields scores? I would love to see :)

sorry havent been around much, lost my job, kinda bummed :(

Sorry, I don't. None of the benchmarks really show it's power anyway. I think CrystalMark showed quit an increase in score from it.

Despite the amount of money that I put into this (5375.81, eBay my friends), I do not have an unlimited supply of money. GX2s are more expensive and the GTs were used.

I think if you "bought" only one BDROM, the difference would have been enough to make that upgrade.

You can do a copy with only one optical drive. I do it all the time.
