another small car problem lol

my mom and dad wanted me too ask you about this.

 

ok its for the 1984 bronco 2 2.8l with air auto.

 

how do you ajust a carbarator mixer screws?

 

because it smells realy bad cabon noxside its makeing mom and dad sick awile doing papers for 5hours each day.

 

the truck runs good and got alot of power.

 

just bad smell.

Well being that it's old and a Ford, I would have to guess you need to fix all the rust holes in the body to keep the outside air from coming into the cabin instead of messing with the carb. :shrug:

well the truck is in good shape its been redone no holes or rust:)

my mom and dad allways have to open the doors so the smell comes in that way.

 

and mosty everything on the truck is new even the engine is rebuilded.

 

the carb is new to but it needs ajusted badly.

I assume its a two barrel carb so it should have two mixture screws. Crank it up and screw them in one at a time when engine starts to miss back the screw out 1/2 turn go to next screw repeat process. Personally I would do whole process twice.

 

 

 

Might check also that the butterfly valve at the top of the carburetor is opening up properly after the engine warms up the will cause a gas flooding smell also.

 

 

 

If you still have the problem after this and mileage is worse than usual, you may have a problem with the float.
