Dave, why did you show an internet bandwith test if you increased the amount of memory? :huh:;)

 

you'll get the same bandwith on your internet connection whether you have 64mb sdram or 1gb of rambus.

:blink: duh I am not really sure, I was tired when I did it :blink:

could it have anything to do with the fact that even if you had the very fastest connection avail, your puter still has to process the info. cox communications requires at least 64megs of ram for a cable modem. ram does a lot to solve many problems!

when i first got this pc only had 64mb ram.. had cable modem downloading 750 mb movies at 90 kbps got movie in 2 1/2 hours ...so i believe mem only works on multiple programs and applications running within your pc.. but you might get quicker response from internet explorer..

No, it will not help the speed of your internet connection. It will however help the way applications load and run on your computer :P
