Optimize 1.5 stalls on upload test

Recommended Posts

New product will not test upload speed; indicates that it is doing so, but simply idles; product stalls and will not proceed. As a result, I must cancel, and no results are forthcoming. This bug renders product worthless for internet settings tuning. Had no problems with 1.0.xx version. Have unistalled, reinstalled, reinstalled 1.0.xx version and installed 1.5.xx as "upgrade" with no improvement. What gives?

Are you running a firewall that may be blocking the upload test? If yes, can you configure it to allow Optimize to access the Internet?

Do you get the same result if you run the upload test from here:

http://pcpitstop.com/internet/default.asp ?

Be sure your firewall allows www.pcpitstop.com and ftp.pcpitstop.com. The corresponding ips are 64.29.201.21 and 64.29.201.23.

Also, if you are using Peer Guardian from Methlabs Software, you should disable it while the scan is running.
