Did it manually and it still doesn't help.... CCC works fine but I hate being limited to 690 core, guess I'll have to wait until a better tool comes along. Also, are there known issues with the card and COD2? I get around 40FPS normally but when the action heats up it drops to around 29FPS, i thought this card was supposed to be cutting edge?

Guys at other sites are having success using AtiTool to set the volts and overclocker.exe to set the clocks:

As far as being cutting edge, I can't even get close to my 7800GTX '03 or Aquamark3 scores. In '05 it scores better, but there has been some speculation by some respected sources that it may be due to driver optimization more than the card. http://overclocking-madness.com/ftopicp-8225.html#8225

'01 looks like it will score better as well, but I haven't had time to play with it yet.

Well the 7800GTX has some very seasoned drivers and im guessing thats the differents. The 6.2 was the first official driver to support the 1900 series and all they had was game fixes, not to mention that there ring/bus memory controller is very tweakable.

My guess is there holding out until the preformance numbers of the 7900 series hit before you start to see ATi show what it can really do. (but like I said its just my guess)

With that said you still might not see any increases in 03 or Aquamark3 being as old as they are.

Not liking this card at all, HL2 frame rates are in the 200s but it still jerks every few seconds.

01 score for ya IG:

Gonna re-install windows methinks

Never heard of overclocker.exe, what is it?

Are you turning on v-sync in HL2?

Not sure how you are running COD2, I run it at 1280by1024 with all settings maxed out. Average 55FPS with a x1900xt with no overclock. I have seen as low as 30fps but it is rare and still butter smooth. I often see 75-90 fps so you might check your configuration. The image quality on this x1900xt is the best I have ever seen.
