brandon
The 3000+ Barton was the last 333Mhz FSB AthlonXP if I recall.
JohnHill
Even if the chip is 400, it should still work in a 333 mobo, right?
k0nkuzh0n
I thought the retail version of the 3200+ was 333mhz and the OEM was 400mhz on newegg, but it may have been a diff chip, maybe the 3000 or 2800. Also newegg drasticly raised the prices on the XP's. I have no idea why, they are close to what they were brand new i think now! On edit: I just looked at newegg and they only have the 2800+ now. I guess they got rid of them.
stormy13
That's because AMD discontinued the Athlon XP's months ago. Anything avavilable now is end of stock, and that would be why they are asking so much. Oh, and here's a list of all XP cpus, http://www.thedigerati.us/info/amdcpuchart.html#xp

stormy13
That is one of those OEM ones that were never in released in retail (usually can be found in the odd HP), sort like the 2900+ that (i believe it was) Tiger Direct had sometime last year. And now that you have links to them, the first one is the correct speed (remember seeing somthing about it at pcper.com about it).

stormy13
Don't remember where I saw it, but I did see an AMD roadmap that had that processor in it (was to be the last of the Thoroughbred cores IIRC).
