2017-11-24 This month noticed that One very large Windows 7 update is not installing. It attempts to install, restarts the computer, says it is updating computer then says update failed then reverts back. All this installing and reverting back is taking up to a 5 minute wait for it to revert and finally offer me a sign in screen. Hello- PC Pitstop is looking at redoing the forums webpage, but we want your feedback before we make too many changes. First, we are discussing minor changes. These would be focused on membership rewards. This would include featuring special forums for members only, and potentially a contest for the best tip shared each month by members. Secondly, we are looking at redoing the layout of the entire page. This would mean still having the Community tab, but also adding a Membership tab. If you are annoyed with the message that you updates will be installed when after you click "Shutdown", this is for you. The simple way to do it is 1.Press Alt+F4 2. Change the pull-down menu from Install Updates and shutdown to shutdown only 3. Click OK Now Windows will shutdown without waiting for the updates to install. things to remember: The steps are not permanent, you need to do it every time updates for Windows are downloaded
