  1. Hi All, I'm considering upgrading my PC so my wife could get better performance for photo editing. We have an 8300 HP elite, with i7 2600, 16 GB RAM, non ssd HD. Would it be worthwhile to upgrade to the 4th gen k versions or would be upgrade hardly be noticeable? the reason for asking is, sometimes when editing large photos, photos can take upwards of a minute or two to blur or add/remove effects. Thanks, -JS
  2. This is a new build with a little overclocking to CPU 4.6 ghz and a little OC on video. http://pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?conid=25742613&report=Summary
  3. I'm a little behind in computers when it comes to processor speed, so I want to try to work towards the current processor machines!! What is the line of Intel Processors Starting Pentium 4 up to the current processor? Intel Pentium 4, Intel Xeon Mp, Intel Xeon dualcore, Intel Xeon Quadcore, Itanium, Intel Pentium M, Intel Pentium D, Intel coreduo solo, Intel core2 solo, i7, Intel core2duo, Intel core2quad, Intel core 2 extreme, Atom and I'm reading about this and adding as I find different processors..... I found this link to Intel Processors lineage..... http://www.intel.com/pressroom/kits/quickreffam.htm What is the line of AMD Athlon Processors from AMD Athlon 3000 Up? What is the line of sockets on the motherboard? Intel? AMD? Which processors are more reliable for their money? Intel or AMD. I have used both, but I have never purchased a new processor or a new computer. I have purchased a few AMD Phenom II x 4 2.8 GHz processors of of eBay but they were used. The Phenom II x 4 is the fastest processor I've worked with. I'm not trying to put any technicians against each other by asking these questions, I'm just trying to learn more.
