I have had PC Matic for some time now. At first all 5 devices I had listed to be covered were, in fact, covered. Lately, two of the devices are not being scanned at all.

How do temporarily disable PC Matic?

After completing a PC Matic scan, and then selecting to "Fix All", I usually get a results screen at the end. This time, instead of getting a results screen, I received an error screen, and it directed me to these forums for help. I then had to kill PC Matic, as I couldn't get the error screen to go away. Upon trying to go back in to PC Matic, I received the same thing. Please see the attached file that shows the last "loading" screen I saw, and the other file, which shows the error screen that I received. -
Hello, My mother-in-law has a nasty adware virus on her laptop called Offers4U. I have uninstalled all non-essential programs, uninstalled all Chrome Extensions, run PC Matic a dozen times, and even completely uninstalled and re-installed Google Chrome. Nothing seems to work and there is very little support for this online. I have made their laptop functional by finally installing adblock and popup block extensions for Chrome. This is working, but it is just a bandaid. I need this removed - any support is appreciated. PS - Why doesn't PC Matic remove this? Thanks

Hi, I just ran a PC Matic scan and happened to notice that the results that were emailed to me straight afterward were different to the result shown by the program after the scan. Does anyone know if there is a reason for this? Thanks. I have included a paste of the email but I can't seem to include the screen print of the program result (out of interest, can anyone explain to me how I add an attachment?! The copy/paste functions on this message don't work. I can see an option for 'Manage Attachments' under 'Settings' but nothing to show how I actually upload one! hi just installed the PC Matic and works fine on my PC Home computer but when I ran the program on my windows 7 Laptop it froze during the scanning high level threats at 4263 Cwindows/System32NisLexicons00019.dll I uninstalled the program as it was frozen for quite a while and had to do a hard reboot to get the laptop going again. Went to the PC Pitstop site and just ran only the Exterminate program and it went a bit further to 4282 Cwindows/System32NisLexicons00019.dll with the same results freezing at this section and having to reboot again . Any suggestions?

I have tried numerous times to get PC Matic to work on my system. I have downloaded and installed the software 4 times. When I run the software all that I get is a blank box with 3 gears turning in the middle. I have left it for an hour and it still stays the same. I have tried all of the troubleshooting tips and even turned off my AV and firewall. I cannot see buying it if it will not run much less fix anything. My system is: Dell Precision 490, Windows 7 64bit. Thanks, jkevin

We had a small shop "fix" my husbands computer. It had the FBI virus and when it came back we had all kinds of problems. It seems he just took out anything that he didn't know what it was. I had hoped running PC Matic might help, but it won't run now. This is what I get: Registry-Unable to open StdRegProv, server execution failed. I downloaded and tried the registry repair tool and got this: Windows management Instrument service could not be started System error 126 Specified module could not be found. Read error -2146823281 Can anyone help please? Lynn

My account and licence number/date appears in the header of the main window but the rest of the window is blank. I can no longer use the software. The other windows of PC Matic seem to work fine but not the one to launch a scan. I have downloaded another copy of PC Matic and re-installed but got the same result. When I hit Ctrl-F5 I can see icons appear but they disappear immediately. Help!

I am currently trying to use the program PC matic for the first time but it seems that I have countered a little problem. When I load Pcmatic it tells me that "ActiveX componants required by the program cannot be loaded and/or updated! I have tried all the options it gives me such as... remove all the other activeX controls and turned off firewalls but to no luck... My computer is a HP pavillion a1110n and im runnings windows Xp. I dont know if this information will be any help but in the process of opening/running Pcmatic 2 pop up's appear. The first one states "In setAffiliateInfo" after you click ok the second one apprears "Back from affiliates.asp: { }" Any help or advice I receive will be very appreciated! Thank you.

it still says something like, "after the 1st time, pc matic will download the virus signature list incrementally" but, no. every time it runs, it downloads the master list (i know this cuz it always takes a few hours). and it's just taking longer and longer and longer. i don't s'pose there's any way to force it.(?)
