  1. Yesterday Avast removed my SafeZone browser and required I download their new Secure browser. I now have pop up ads on just about every page I go to including the side panels of my Yahoo email page. I didn't have these before the browser change. I'm using Avast Pro and Malwarebytes Premium , Adaware and CCcleaner free versions. I see CCcleaner may be a problem. I tried using Mozilla/Firefox . The ads were still there. By default, in Windows 8, Internet Explorer 10 will open the version which matches your current environment. If you are on the Metro UI, it will open the Metro IE10. If you are working on your Windows 8 desktop, it will open the desktop version of IE10. It is the the Metro version of IE 10 that
  7. Just found this little tool and cleaned up a bunch of duplicate and dead bookmarks in my Firefox browser. I also watched as my Favicons that had gone missing in the bookmarks bar re-appeared when running the Reload Favicons option. Pretty cool! Note: I'm runnibg Firefox 11.0 so it should work with all versions of FF. Full description and instructions with screenshots on the CheckPlaces Homepage.
