  4. Bruce...not sure this will be any help to you, but I thought I would post a link here for you to check out. http://www.iexbeta.com/wiki/index.php/Wind...2FDVD_Authoring or maybe......http://www.burn4free.com/
  5. I came to this post, to see what I could learn. Based on what I learned here, I couldn't find a zero (0) Star to vote.
  6. I am using IE6 and whenever it blocks a picture or a download, it shows a small brown bar just below the page Header. It says to click on it if I want to download the file or see the image. Have you noticed a bar like that at the top of your browser? If so, just click on it to allow the image.
  7. I get the small red x's whenever my pop-up blocker has blocked something from loading onto the page I am viewing. Are you using a pop-up blocker? Check your settings, if you are.
  8. I will attempt one final attempt on this question. I have " " this so often, it's getting bruised now. :help:
  9. I am "borrowing" this old post for a question. How would I set the burn speed of a cd? I see no way available to control the burn speed. As usual, thanks for any help. Will
  10. Thank you cl1cK...I will give that a try. I tried warm water and dish soap.......didnt help. Thanks, again.
  11. Thank you Brownhornet, Dickster, and Mouse. I tried the links you provided, and it appears there is nothing I can do to retrieve this information from the cd. Errors on the cd, or in the CD Reader, usually, cause that CRC error, and the reader works otherwise. Apparently the problem is a bad sector on the CD. I thank each of you for your advice. PEACE Will
  12. I was copying some music from cd to my hardrive and started getting this error message......CANNOT COPY THIS FILE: DATA ERROR (CYCLIC REDUNDANCY CHECK) I am using the factory installed cd drive copier....Samsung brand. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks for any help offered. PEACE Will P.S. These cd's were some I had copied off of the same hardrive.
  13. This computer is working ok. A bit slow, but I am only running 382 MB of RAM. I wanted to be sure I had no nasties hidden inside. Thank you for checking this for me. 15. Sorry, I don't have anythng to add to this thread, but I DO love these sparkly thingies I am using here.
  16. Phil...Thanks for the new information. I deleted Ewido, because I used it only for "clean up" I did as you just told me deleted two of the options. I use Pitstop as Home Page. (The process in Italics below) Should I keep that one listed? I dont use the ones listed in BOLD below. Can they be taken off, or should I allow them to just carry on? ( ie... Adobe Acrobat..Cryptainer SVS. and AOL Toolbar) Thank you again, for your help. 17. Thank you for your information and input, Mr Kelley. I do indeed have both Ad-Aware and Spy-Bot installed here. I also run Spywareblaster at all times. I have become a bit lax of late about running Ad-Aware and Spy-Bot on a regular basis. I will have to tighten up so that the baddies dont get a foot-hold in my machine. I have posted a new log to see if you see any more bad things on it. Thanks. P.S.S I have always used EasyCleaner by Toni, to remove temp files and cookies. I have also not been using it regularly. I will do so in the future. 20. CNN has just announced, that some 23,000 people that are housed in the Super Dome in New Orleans, are being even further displaced, by being moved to the Astro Dome in Houston. This move, is of course, for their own health and safety. They also announced the New Orleans Intl Airport will be used as a Hospital for the immediate treatment providal of health care. Pictures now showing the looting thats going on there. Not food and water, as you might would think, but clothes, shoes, tv's, etc. What has this world come to? We all need to keep these good people in our thoughts.
