  1. Hey YK, hope you had a good time All the best beau
  2. This is an old scam. I had something very similar to this about two years back. I must say though that they are getting better with the wording and the grammer - although still not quite right it is a lot better. Beau
  3. Bruce -if it is any help, I started using Champix tablets at the start of the year and stopped smoking on the 14th January and have been smoke free since. The course of tablets my GP gave me lasted for just under 5 months and I haven't looked back since. They are not nicotine replacement tablets they kill the urge for smoking altogether over the first 2 weeks and then suppress it after that for as long as it takes. By the way at the end of the two weeks you will not like the taste of cigarettes or even the smell of them. I wish you and your good lady all success in this. beau
  4. Good for you Lilbill Enjoy your driving - it opens up a whole new world for you. Beau

  6. Firemanbill - steady there mate - as it is supposed to be closed to access anyway -I think he has waived all rights to health and safety issues I'm not even sure if the idea of creating that walkway would be approved in this day and age without far more substantiable support footings etc in place. Must have been a hoot in its day though beau

  10. Well I was born a christian and I suppose I'll die one as well. However, I can't say I believe in God as such - I'm not that brave - and I'm also pretty much a thinking man's person. I do believe there is something greater than us - but I'm not brave enough to call that thing God - or Jesus - or any other such name. I only believe. I pray to my higher being when times get tough; it doesn't take any of those fancy sermons or speeches - or even any of those real nice hymns, psalms catechments or whatever - but I like the sounds they make. My God (higher being) is mine - and mine alone. it knows what I think, it listens when I rant or even when I say a real meaningful thanks to it for getting me through each day, surmounting another problem or even enjoying the enjoyment of life itself. My God is a personal one and a private one, I don't attempt to force it on anyone else because - well - it's mine. It knows me, and my strengths and weaknesses - and never answers me back in a petulent or derogatory manner. I do that instead. Where am I going to go then when I die? I don't know. Perhaps its going to be a real roller coaster of an existance of some kind - or then again perhaps it aint. All I will know is this, I will die with many happy and fond memories of my time on this earth, some bad ones as well. But also, I will know this, I have loved and been loved in turn by many wonderful people, I have done favours for and had them done for me in return by others, I have always tried to be as honest as the day is long and never ever tried to be a nasty ill-begotten SOB - to anyone - even those who have been so to myself. Life is for living, it shouldn't be for worrying about where you go once you die - that's the next secret of this thing we call life. All the best to you all. beau
  11. Mery Christmas everyone. http://www.jacquielawson.com/viewcard.asp?code=0212320003 beau
  12. Newdles, I bought this camera about 2 months back. http://www.trustedreviews.com/digital-came...ePix-S6500fd/p1 It is a sort of in between make that has qualities from both the point and shoot camp and the DSLR one as well. I think it is a great camer - even thought his model is about a year old now. Reason I bought it? Well, I used to do a lot of SLR photography years agon and I wanted to still have the ability to choose things like F stops, depth of field and so on - and this little beauty allows that. Photo quality is excellent and it also allows you to shoot in RAW format. Don't worry about that at present if you get into it, then it will become a bit more interesting for you. here are some more reviews if you want to learn more. http://www.fujifilm.co.uk/digital/cameras/s6500/ http://www.unbeatable.co.uk/p_repr/Fuji-Fi...s/36525009.html http://www.photo-i.co.uk/Reviews/cameras/F...700/page-1.html And here is what it is selling on Amazon in the UK for http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fuji-FinePix-Digit...l/dp/B000IHYS2Q Whatever you do, don't rush into buying your camera. Choose wisely and it will alst you a long time. All the best beau
  13. Not sure if this will help or not but quite often what people mistakenly think is the fan belt slipping and making that screeching noise is something altogether different. I used to have this problem with my car and it was the water pump that was the problem. There is an easy solution to this and it consists of buying, borrowing or begging an eggcupful (approximate amount) of soluble oil from a local engineering works or someone who owns a metalworking lathe or milling machine (they dilute this with water to use as a coolant when machining the metal). Add the soluble oil to your radiator top up tank and - if this is the problem - it will only take as long as it needs for the oil to reach the water pump to fix it. If that isn't the problem, then it won't do any harm to your engine with the soluble oil in the water system. good luck. beau

  20. Hi, not sure what WGA stands for If it is of any help though, my OS is a genuine windows item bought brand new with my new computer and from a reputable company. Recently though, whilst cleaning out what I thought were some junk files, I'd switched off the computer - went and did something else and returned later to boot up the computer. I got a message on screen to say I had what appeared to be an illegal copy of XP Began thinking I'd been ripped off somehow and then it clicked, one of those files I thought were junk, was actually a validation file. Luckily it was still in the waste basket and I just reinstalled everything and the system worked after another reboot. But what if I had cleared the waste basket before switching the computer off? :crash: Microsoft can't have it all ways. If they place some form of validation on your computer - then they should tell you NOT to delete it. Perhaps this is a way that some genuine copies have been invalidated? Bruce, if I ever manage to stop being so chicken**** I'll give Linux a try. I keep wandering around the fringes, reading a bit here and there about how good it is but still aint built up the courage to give it a go. beau

  22. Apparently it was meant to be James May who was to drive the car originally. It seems the two of them had got together because of clashes in their diaries for shooting programmes and the hamster said he would cover the jet car to allow James to do another shoot. Hope he recovers well. beau
  23. Certainly not displeased with it Y - and I have to say thanks to many of the people here for their input and help over the years - I take my hat of to ya all (too many to mention and I'd forget a name somewhere and then I'd be ostracised) beau
  24. Thanks Stormy13, if I can get it to do a half of what it is capable of doing, then I think I will be more than happy - or will I? beau.
