  1. After looking into this a little further, I'm not really interested in messing with the network, there are about 21 computers on it. I just would like to know how many times my computer looses it's connection to the net.
  2. Is there a program will actually monitor your "connection" to the internet? Something that will create a log? Here is my issue. I'm on a network, every so often my inernet connection seems intermittent. I will still have access to the network, but I can't go anywhere on the net. I've learned that it's the actual connection to the internet that goes out thanks to my log me in program. It actually shows a little red x on the icon when it is unable to maintain it's connection to the net. This happens through out our entire network, I need a log to show my isp. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Trafkjamm
  3. ok, it's not acted up on me in the last day or two. I'll keep an eye on it and also check out the other forum as you recommended. Let me know if there is anything else I need to do. Thanks for you help!

It always shows me connected to the network, however, I have noticed that from time to time if I have the log me in app running, it will show a disconnect to the net. Is there anything you could recomend to monitor this?
  5. How's your computer? It's still hanging up, the browser froze on me twice yesterday for about 5 minutes each time. How much ram/memory do you have on the computer.....do you know your system spec's? I have 1gb of ram. and it's a 2.8 gig processor. Have you checked event viewer or device manager? I noticed something yesterday while the browser was locked, I did cntrl/alt/del to view cpu usage and page file usage. Page file usage was a little over 700 megs, but the cpu was being maxed out at 100%. At times it would dart down in the lower range but immediately peg back at 100%. Here are the logs. ;*********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** ANALYSIS: 2009-06-03 09:12:46 PROTECTIONS: 1 MALWARE: 2 SUSPECTS: 12 ;*********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** PROTECTIONS Description Version Active Updated ;=================================================================================================================================================================================== AVG Anti-Virus Free 8.5 No Yes ;=================================================================================================================================================================================== MALWARE Id Description Type Active Severity Disinfectable Disinfected Location ;=================================================================================================================================================================================== 00145731 Cookie/Tribalfusion TrackingCookie No 0 Yes No C:\Documents and Settings\john\Cookies\[email protected][1].txt 00167642 Cookie/Com.com TrackingCookie No 0 Yes No C:\Documents and Settings\john\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\vdxgr8hw.default\cookies.txt[.com.com/] ;=================================================================================================================================================================================== SUSPECTS Sent Location ;=================================================================================================================================================================================== No C:\Documents and Settings\john\Application Data\Move Networks\MoveMediaPlayer_07103010.exe No C:\Documents and Settings\john\Application Data\Mozilla\Plugins\npPxPlay.dll No C:\Documents and Settings\john\Application Data\Netscape\Plugins\npPxPlay.dll No C:\Documents and Settings\john\Desktop\05302009.exe[32788R22FWJFW\n.com] No C:\Documents and Settings\john\Desktop\05302009.exe[32788R22FWJFW\NirCmd.cfexe] No C:\Program Files\Photodex Presenter\pxdown.exe No C:\Program Files\Photodex Presenter\pxplay.ocx No C:\System Volume Information\_restore{46DE8921-1D39-44D2-A9E9-64119261F211}\RP326\A0036500.com No C:\System Volume Information\_restore{46DE8921-1D39-44D2-A9E9-64119261F211}\RP326\A0036502.com No C:\System Volume Information\_restore{46DE8921-1D39-44D2-A9E9-64119261F211}\RP326\A0036578.com No C:\System Volume Information\_restore{46DE8921-1D39-44D2-A9E9-64119261F211}\RP326\A0036580.com No C:\WINDOWS\NIRCMD.exe ;=================================================================================================================================================================================== VULNERABILITIES Id Severity Description ;=================================================================================================================================================================================== ;=================================================================================================================================================================================== Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 9:15:59 AM, on 6/3/2009 Platform: Windows XP SP3 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6000.16827) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\AppleMobileDeviceService.exe C:\PROGRA~1\AVG\AVG8\avgwdsvc.exe C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe C:\Program Files\Dell\OpenManage\Client\Iap.exe C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\jqs.exe C:\Program Files\LogMeIn\x86\RaMaint.exe C:\Program Files\LogMeIn\x86\LogMeIn.exe C:\Program Files\LogMeIn\x86\LMIGuardian.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\PROGRA~1\AVG\AVG8\avgrsx.exe C:\PROGRA~1\AVG\AVG8\avgnsx.exe C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\DVDLauncher.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxpers.exe C:\Program Files\HP\HP Software Update\HPWuSchd2.exe C:\Program Files\LogMeIn\x86\LogMeInSystray.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\LogMeIn\x86\LMIGuardian.exe C:\Program Files\Logitech\MouseWare\system\em_exec.exe C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqtra08.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\wscntfy.exe C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqSTE08.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\wuauclt.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe R0 -   9. So far I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. Please let me know if I need to do anything else and Thank you very much for your assistance!
  10. I'm running IE 7, and previously had no issues running the scan. It had actually completed the scan and was removing a reported 101 malware, but locked up during the clean.
  11. One of the problems I've incurred, which led me to believe something was wrong was the fact that I couldn't run trend micro's house call. I just tried again, to see if it would run and it still gives me this error. "An error occured while trying to transfer data from the internet! Do you want Trend Micro HouseCall to try again transfering the required data?" If you click OK, it just pops up the same message over and over again and then it's really hard to close out the action. It keeps popping back up no matter what you click and it won't let you close the window. Since it's the browser kernal I'm trying to run, I wonder if it's a problem with my browser?

  14. I was running McAfee and noticed that it kept getting turned off, I would reset the security and within ten minutes it would be disabled again. Uninstalled McAfee, and installed Avast. Avast has found no threats, Trend Micro house call scan ran and found 101 malware, but locked up during clean. Now it won't even allow house call to be run, keeps giving me errors. Here is the hijackthis log. Thanks for your help!
