  1. Good morning Juliet - Below is the log file from my pcmatic. I hope I have copied the correct file. I have noticed lately that when I pull up my computer my limited user name is showing that I am logged on, even though I am making it a point to log off when I am finished. Today, when I signed in under my limited user name, I really paid attention to what it was doing when I hit log off. I couldn't log out - or change user - finally I did a restart, and the screen told me it was restarting but hung for quite a while. I finally had to reboot. (I am editing this to add that after
  2. Pc Matic is not showing a pathway - or at least I don't know how to find it. But the scan done 2 nights ago showed high security for BIFROST, WinAntiVirus Pro 2006, and WinSpywareProtect - It says they were removed.
  3. Kapersky gave me no report - it said "no threats" at the top.
  4. Juliet - I am still having problems. Received a pop up today - tribalfusion. I checked my pc matic scan for last night and it found several high threats - Is it possible this isn't over yet?
  5. Thank you Juliet - for all of your help! So, I am good to go now? - does it appear safe enough for online banking, etc, again? I have followed your instructions above and implemented the safety features. Very grateful for your patience !
  6. When I type, or copy and paste the ComboFix /Uninstall I get an error message telling me that it can't be found. I see it's off my desktop, but I didn't delete it.
  7. Juliet, I'm sorry but not quite understanding this part: Go to Start > Run > copy and paste the full text path in the run box Start > Run & typing in ComboFix /Uninstall 1. I'm not sure what the full text path is.... 2. Are those two lines above two separate instructions? It's just not clear to me - You have been so very patient - I'm so very appreciative!
  8. seems to be faster, and haven't seen any popups while messing around with it. The infected file (filmaker) - is that something that comes over infected? What I mean is that my son got this file on a cd from a friend - so it was possibly infected at that point?
  9. thanks Juliet. following is the latest combofix - made sure it downloaded to the desktop. You asked how the computer was - I was afraid to use it all all until you gave me the word. With all that was wrong, did it look as if any identity theft/password theft was going on? All changed from other computer but just wondering. 10. I know this says I was running from c:\documents and settings\Main User Sign in\My Documents\Downloads\ComboFix.exe, but I moved it to the desktop and ran it from there. Hope that it's good this time. 12. Thanks - I am currently running Kaperski - over 3 hours and working. The combofix log I pasted was a scan run from the safe mode as when I ran it from the desktop, it ran completely through, told me it needed to reboot, and started writing the log. In the middle of the log it crashed. Did that twice so I ran it from safe mode. Will do what you suggested and will run it again.
  13. Juliet - following is the combofix log - Will run and post the kapersky log, and need directions on the HJT log as I don't know how to do that. 14. Good morning Juliet - I found my keyboard! No driver problems, I needed to unplug the keyboard from inside the drive, replug, and it reset itself. So, following is the combofix.exe log. Let me know if you still need me to do the other tests/scans you mentioned above. By the way, the chkdsk took over 2 hours, I only did it once, should I run that again? 15. Well, I ran the chkdsk which took over 2 hours. I tried the OldTimer again and received the same "bad pool" error - I have spent hours trying to figure out how to access safe mode with a keyboard failure msg. to no avail. I cannot run the OldTimer from safemode as cannot access safe mode!
