  1. Still 1% but I can't afford to keep up I stopped so long ago. Still have my raptorpit shirt don't know if that was 2011 or before that http://www.pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?conid=25936782 Not tweaked my 24/7 but notice 2GB /s on a single drive benchmark
  2. "That's changing?" Socket 939 has been out for months. Just expensive. Eric
  3. Looks like mine You can get a few more increasing the resolution. Here is what I got. http://www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress.asp?id=EYKH9WZ19PUS71PE Eric

  5. Even for what it is the memory is a little slow and the video is VERY slow. Even my moms laptop got 25MP/s on that test. I'm guessing the memory is sharing system memory. That would cause both. Almost any PCI video card would help you there Eric
  6. -Make sure your MB's chipset drivers are installed and/or reinstall them. That really helped my 3dmark scores. -Turn off Windows XP default y GUI. Switch to "performance" -Run at a higher resolution. I get an extra 150 increasing from 1600x1200 to 2048x1536 and going to 16bit. My monitor does not support it. It just scrolls to the sides when I move the mouse. For pitstop tests it helps a lot. Eric
  7. I thought a 9800 with 128bit memory was SE not pro? The first does not say. It mentions 128-bit but that is FP precision color. The other two specify 256-bit memory. Eric
  8. Seems about right. I've never actually tried a 6800. Before I upped the clocks on my 6800GT I got about 290 I believe. That was at my desktop resolution of 1600x1200x32. Resolution plays a big part with the 2d scores. For instance if I go up to 2048x1536 and drop to 16bit color I get over 550 on the test. Also running the OS with all the eye candy turned on can drop your score a lot. I've been running mine at "performance" instead of "detect." It made a huge difference on my last card (9500np --> 9700np). I'd imagine if I dropped to that low of resolution, turned OS eye candy back on and cut 4 pipelines off of my GT I would probably get about 180-190 too. Eric
  9. That would sound good if its performance was even close to a 9800 for the desktop. Its about as fast as my old 9500np that was softmodded to a 9700np. Even that card felt slow compared to its replacement (6800GT) http://www.tomshardware.com/mobile/20040727/ Eric
  10. I'll try version 6 but it says this in the INF. Target Chipset#: Intel® E7520 & Intel® 915G/P/GV Eric
  11. We have the same MB This is what I installed ftp://ftp.abit.com.tw/pub/download/driver....1015/inf50.exe If for some reason it does not work go to www.abit-usa.com and go to the IC7 download page. Download Intel INF Update v5.00.1015 . Eric
  12. I used fx5700 because it had a 5700go Almost the same card except modified for the laptop (slower). Point is even the fx5700 is slow for a normal computer. Unfortunately not much better exists for a laptop. Eric
  13. It really depends on the game but they usually are pretty close. The Ultra should be faster than the x800pro but slower than the x800xt pe. Eric
  14. 34,000 is too low even for that CPU with an x800pro. I was getting about 37,700 on my 2.6C until I reinstalled my chipset drivers. Just fixing that got me to 54,000. I'm using a 6800GT. Eric
  15. Still. I bet a GeForce go5700 would get killed by even a Geforce 5700. Not to mention someone with a 5900/5950 or 6800. The memory and hdd would also still be slower. You can get a faster $1000 normal machine than you can for that laptop at $3000. Eric
