  1. Yeah, the fonts are a bit small and greyish. It's somewhat difficult to see.
  2. The CPU, memory, etc. will always have to wait for the drives even with SSD.
  3. What voltage are you giving your 6600 to get it to OC that high? Here's my system's score at what I keep it at 24/7: http://www.pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?conid=22436445
  4. I suggest Antec. The P183 and P193 have high build quality and nice features. Cooler Master makes some excellent cases as well.
  5. Say Joe, doesn't that mean you have a positive vacuum in your case? For instance, since there is more air coming in than out, won't air from your case be trying to find any area to escape from, such as between panels and out of cracks?
  6. When your friends are computer enthusiasts like yourself, they will often not only notice what case you have but will critique it as well. This process is known as 'ripping' upon another and is associated with male bonding rituals. However, there is usually truth behind these insults which may hurt your pride. If your case is a pleasant sight, then instead of receiving 'rips,' you will instead receive compliments such as: "dude, your case is totally RADICAL!" "whoa, EXTREME case, man!" "that case is so nice that I will not use it as a coaster!!" Once receiving such compliments, you w
  7. As far as cases go, I believe that this is the one place that one should never skimp out on as this is the one part of your system that will always be visible to you and anyone you bring over to your house. The case linked just looks cheap and not very stylish. For example, the case is asymmetrical with that fan box and there is that gigantic eyesore control mechanism sticking out of the top. It's just not a very appealing case. However, I assume that you can have certain standards of beauty. For instance, if you're used to women who are asymmetrical, you may not find such a hideous case
  8. Eh, the case is kind of ugly. But why not go with the DFI motherboard if you like them so much? I definitely approve of DFI motherboards
  9. This Powercolor PCS is already clocked at 950 MHz on the core! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814131156 I'm very glad I went with this one
  10. But you were playing on a glorified table coaster previously!
  11. I feel like I crushed all his hopes and dreams. He wanted to keep that old graphics card so badly.
  12. Ok, I hate to be the one to tell you this but your old graphics card will not work in your new system. Chances are that it is AGP which will not even fit in the new motherboard's slot. So I say this again: You will need a new graphics card. I suggest an ATI 4770 or perhaps a 3850.
  13. I believe you'd see more of a difference just buying a new graphics card for your old system rather than reusing that old rubbish card in your proposed new system. The 6200 is pretty much the worst of the worst and a modern-day onboard graphics chip should even be able to surpass it. As for the quad crossfire, I'll be blunt; it will not happen, not for you at least. Most insane computer enthusiasts will not even touch quad crossfire as it is very much of a hassle and rather expensive (looking at a power supply upwards of 1000 watts, more likely a multi-power supply set up). I estimate
  14. Save money on the video card by going with this one: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct....&subcat=938 It's even questionable whether you need that much power.
  15. Bah, I usually hit 15 K dps on the Hodir fight!
  16. Yes, back in the day, these were the number one processor available.. They were also in short supply. I believe I got it back in July of 07. Not completely positive on that though.
  17. Yeah, I got this Q6600 when they first came out. The processors were around $600 at the time
  18. http://www.pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?c...;report=Summary That did the trick for the pit test. I guess it was clocking down on certain parts of the pit test. However the sandra results have not changed which makes me worry.
  19. What are your temps at 100% load? Did you say it was 51 C? If so, then it sounds to me like you can safely increase the voltage by a few more mV.
  20. I'm using this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835103057 This CPU really hates voltage as it jumped up a good 5 C idle and 10-15 C at full load once I increased the voltage by 50 mV.
