If you ever visit a site and they auto-play a video w/sound, then as you continue to scroll down the page, they place it in the lower corner of your screen making it so you can't "escape" the video without manual intervention, I've got the fix for you. Install uBlock Origin from your browser's extension repository(Chrome Webstore, etc), then go into the extension's settings(click the three slider looking lines that say Open the Dashboard).   6. I've had several machines prompt me to add a Microsoft acct, use Cortana, etc. just like is done when you first setup a fresh install. I think that's M$ way of trying to further entrench you in their ecosystem.

  10. Lookin at the stickers on the rear of the case, it's a 2.4ghz Pentium 4 w/512gb ram and a 40gb hdd. I REALLY don't think it's worth putting any money into. @nigsyis right, a lightweight Linux distro might actually run alright on there. It's free and may be worth a shot, if for nothing else, at least you tried. Tx
  11. Hola @SWAC86 and That dino would hardly play streaming videos these days, chances are, your smartphone you took the pics with is more powerful than it. As for upgrading it, that case is super proprietary and will use very few , standard pc components. You're better off buying a newer prebuilt that's been refurbed(if you're trying to save money). If you'd like, post the software you'll use most and your budget and I'll see what I can scare up for ya that fits the bill. Tx
  12. You should be able to use 2 nvme dives w/out any problems, BUT, when you do go to do your fresh install on the new ssd, make sure to remove the old one so you don't accidentally reinstall to it. Afterwards, reinstall it and set the boot order in the UEFI and you'll be fine. Tx
  13. I'd lean on the ram first as it's most cost effective, but the fact that you've had exact symptoms leads me to believe it's one or the other because the memory controller is built into the cpu. Tx
  14. Sounds to me like since you've already eliminated the mobo, I'd shoot for another set of ram(I love Gskill, but I've had compat issues w/Ryzen) to see if the ram is defective, if that returns the same symptoms, you might have lost the good cpu lottery. Tx

  23. Looking at that screen shot, I'm gonna say the versioned backup is in the top folder, Dacey_Tower_Backup and the one below may be relevant to it. The rest look to be certain folders you've just copied to the external. Hope that helps! Tx
