  3. Hi @Earl-in-WA Thanks for your question, we are aware of this "new" spyware and are actively monitoring the situation. Pegasus was developed in 2018 and sold for government espionage, targeted towards iOS and Android devices. If you have PC Matic installed on your Android device, we block all known-bad executables as well as unknowns that have yet to be seen in the wild, so you will be protected. We do not offer a product for iOS devices. Hope this helps, Tx
  4. Yall remember when Photobucket was good? Yeah, me neither, but we sure used the snot outta it. Had to snip the pic from the OP, rather than quote it.
  5. Sorry for diggin up bones, but this looks a lot like where I live and ride my MTB's these days.

  8. You can save to another external drive or mount the computer's hdd and copy to it, if there's room. As for recovery tools, photorec is pretty good and I think does more than just photos. Tx
  9. I hate to say it, but the drives probably are toast. You could try their suggestion, or you could also try booting your computer from a Linux live disk. https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/try-ubuntu-before-you-install#1-getting-started Tx

  11. Hola @Jamescollins and If I were to guess, I'd say it's an extension that's blocking some functionality on Google Translate. In the interim, I've found this to be very effective and often more accurate, but ymmv. https://translate.systran.net/translationTools/text Tx

Our Help Desk is the official source, and fastest way, to receive support for PC Matic products. If you require telephone and or remote support, we offer this through our PC Matic+ service. More info on it can be found at https://www.pcmatic.com/plus/ The steps provided to resolve your first issue, while do address things involving Internet Explorer, it has nothing to do with what browser you prefer to use. If you still would like to attempt getting PC Matic installed and running on your old XP machine, please continue with the support trail yall have going already. The behavior you described was accurate. We patch/upgrade old out of date programs that are common to most people's computer usage, this is done to help prevent a known vulnerability from being exploited in one of these software packages we address. If this is something you do not want taking place, you may disable this feature from within the PC Matic application by clicking "Options", then click on the "Update Vulnerable Apps" button to the right. Tx
