-
Okay that's it, thank you for all your help once again you have helped me tremendously, thanks again, I will contact you again if I need more help, if you don't mind. Thanks and bye for now Ricky
-
Thank you for all your all help it's much appreciated, now where do I get this paste to put on top of the processor?
-
Oh that bad? Well I will buy one OEM Processor or what I can get and buy the heat sink and fan seperate for that model, would that work? Cheers Richard
-
Sorry mate, I don't necessarily want an OEM Version, if a retail one comes with the fan and heatsink I'll get that one, I run vista though will it be compatable? Also what is the difference between the OEM and retail? Thanks for your help.

I think I've decided on this and the fan and heatsink I can get for this model off ebay for a little amount AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ Socket 939 512KB Box what do you think?
-
Don't most all processors come with fan/heatsinks when you buy them that are a standard size which in-turn would fit my case?
-
No I certainly don't have that much height more like 6 1/2 " anything I could get for that?
-
It's the plain square aluminium one so I'll need a new one, what do you think, which one should I go for?
-
Thanks mate that helps a lot, now how will I know whether I can fit a heatsink/fan in my case? But having said this mine that I have already is quite big and it looks as though I could get a bigger one inside as there is a lot of space height wise between the fan or heatsink and the side panal, is this what you mean guys? Thanks, Ricky

Right I have decided to buy this AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200 Dual-Core Socket 939 OEM Processor but I was just wondering how do I make sure I have the right socket and will my motherboard be able to handle it? Also I need a need a cooler facility I guess with this? Where do I install this on my board? So...Is there anything else that I missed? A step-by-step guide on how to install this would be great although I got a few videos off someone on here already which I am grateful of, but I would like it written down so I can save it. Thanks in advance for any help received. Ricky
