  3. Well i did run a antispyware it had 2136 infections. I deleted all of them using antivir antivirus scan. The machine is now clean but no turnoff button. The sad thing about it is the owner didn't have any firewall or good antivirus program. I installed comodo firewall.
  4. Hi guys, I am having a problem with a computer i have. It has windows xp home edition on it with service pack 2, the regedit version is 5.1. The turnoff button is missing when you press the start button on the desktop. Where do i go in regedit to fix this.
  5. I have been using sygate fiewall for sometime now. But i found out that they no longer have support for sygate and it's own by norton which in fact are promoting something new. Can anyone recommend comodo as an alternative. Which other free firewall can i use.

  8. Hi juliet the program didn't work in safe mode but it did work in normal mode. Can it be done in normal mode and sent to you.
  9. juliet i am having some problems. When i try to run avg spyware in safe mode it is tell me that the service failed.

  11. Thank's answering juliet. About smithfraudfix i got the info from bleepingcomputers that that program would remove the spylocker virus. I am running AVG free antivirus scanner and no it didn't alert me to this problem ( spylocker ). For the final question i ran option 2 as recommended by the forum in bleepingcomputer forum link is below.   13. Good day All, This is what my hjt file looks like after running smithfraudfix and hjt executable program. Can anyone assist me i have noticed that when i try to log onto yahoo i can get to my inbox but can't view it. Could the spylocker cause this or does someone now have control over my yahoo mails.   15. Isn't the HJT linked to the manual step to remove the malware. If that's the case i already used the automatic removal to remove the malware. I also have the log that i saved.
