  1. Thank You. I tried this, but there isn't a place to shut off the warning. I went to control panel ,view hardware and sound, right clicked on the printer I use, clicked the maintenance tab but there isnt anything that states where you can shut the warning off. My printer wont even print in black if it detects one ink out. Any other suggestions? I Hate when you buy a product, only to find out it isnt truly yours... Not sure if there is any other suggestions. Thank You. I did look into buying a chip resetter, but it wasn't rated well.
  2. Not sure if this is where or even if I can ask this here. I am trying to shut off the ink is low or out on my canon pixma mx920 and can't remember for the life of me how I did it the first time. I am refilling my cartridges, and i have before, although its been some time. Thank You for any help or direction here.
  3. :-) Thanks. I feel so much more at ease that my computer is back in working order. Thank You for all of the imput. It help out tremendously.
  4. Honestly, I didn't want to say how (cheap),I mean, how frugal I try to be. I have been using a free version of the first one on your list and it seemed to work well. I also used Malwarebytes with this one. Is that ok? It doesn't work unless I start it up, update and scan. Do, I need a separate firewall other than the Windows one? Havent' really ever checked into it. Thanks for all that you do.
  5. all done. I just need to find a really good antivirus software. I usually do the free ones but not sure. What do you think about Pandas free Antivirus software? Thanks. Also, should I or can I get rid of the Windows Repair program and the 7-zip 9.20? Thank You.
  6. Its done . Everything seems to be humming along again and I can get into all of my programs. I was wondering if I could use the earlier program, delfix, to clean all the tools that are on my computer. So glad to have this off my mind. Didn't want to miss my football team playing.
  7. ok, I did this this morining and so far, everything is working good. I have a few more things to look into and get back. Thank You.
  8. Thank You. Its going to be a few days or more before I can read everything and tackle the job. I think i've done some similar things before but have to say I am always scared before I make the leap in.I will definitely give and update either way. I think I have the disks from before. Have to find them. Thank You all for the help.
  9. I din't have that update.I will read that link that you gave me and then respond. I know it might be getting late for and I thank so much for your time.
  10. Things boot a bit faster now but I still have that trouble with windows explorer. My firewall is off, but I see that windows update is fine now.

  12. I disabled some programs a while back, but it was before any of this started. Was just wondering if by chance it would do something. Probably just grasping at straws. Thanks. I'll try the HJT and post back
  13. Did all the steps above and am still having the same problem. Do you think that I should also go ti services and put everything there to run also? In the bottom of the computer, it also states that Intel RST service is not running
