  1. They made three of them? Number one was funny....this one, not so much.
  2. Yep, they're both the same. And, if you're feeling adventurous, you could even try Ctrl+Shift+Esc.
  3. Thanks for the info. The best protection, of course, is to be aware of the threats and know what you're looking for.
  4. I think a lot of people felt the same way you did. Edit: By the way, nice to see another St. Louisan around here.
  5. If you haven't already, please VOTE!!! Thank you...
  6. That's a knee-slapper! I expect BIOS updates soon to come.
  7. I'm amazed the guy escaped in one piece. The driver's side of the car is completely smashed in.
  8. I hope I'm not too late... Have you tried going in the task manager, and checking out the running processes on Process Library or CastleCops? If you can find the processes, it should be easier to kill. Reformatting might be the easiest solution, however.
  9. "Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country." "They misunderestimated me." "There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
  10. Sorry I haven't been around here much lately.... anyway, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
  11. I am sorry We started talking about cooling, and wandered off into an entirely different direction...........There really is no excuse. So anyway, here's my attempt to try to be helpful and make up. It does look like you got the 3ghz, but if you want to go higher, here's a method that may help. Try changing your memory divider and bring the RAM down to the slowest speed you can. Then any problems caused by higher overclocking are probably from the CPU. Now focus on the CPU, get it as high as you can safely go, make sure it stays stable. When you are satisfied with the CPU, see how high that RAM will go with the CPU overclocked. And finally once you have squeezed all the mhz out, try tightening the RAM timings as much as you can. I hope this was helpful, again I am sorry for hijacking..
  12. I never knew SMP gets more points on a P4. I'm gonna have to install that on my folding box now.
  13. I think you're talking about the P4 Prescott, lots of people called them P5s because of the new Prescott core. I had one in my main PC until a few months ago when I finally upgraded. Now it's happily running [email protected] 24/7 right next to me in a cardboard box. I've been able to get it up to 4ghz on cheap water cooling and the temperatures never got far over 40C at full load. On air though, it's an entirely different beast. Nothing a big fan can't handle though, and my quad core is definitely hotter.
