I decided I'm gonna get a new psu as well, but it'll have to wait til later this week. I have plenty of time to get exactly what I want. You won't need another burner when you put the dvd burner in there because it'll burn both cd's and dvd's. It's your choice. You don't say what kind of ram you have in your system now...just what you're wanting to buy. And I highly doubt you'll be able to overclock your cpu any, if at all, because of it's proprietary nature. HP's don't take kindly to that, and frankly the wimpy power supplies they come with wouldn't hold up anyway. Your best bet would be to build your own and get away from the pre-built systems if you can.

Nah, XC, I dunno why so many folks make such a big deal out of the noise. It never bothers me. My system right now kinda sounds like a jet taking off and it doesn't bother me a bit, even with 3 systems right here in the same room.

Ok, I used that psu calculator, and with all the crap I'm putting in the new system, it suggests a minimum of 415 watts. I'm lookin at newegg to see what they got..here's some I like. Actually it's a diablotek w/led fan...I got it with the diablotek demon II case. I'm thinkin I definitely need to get a new psu tho. What d'ya think? I believe this is it, only without the second fan or the sata connectors. Well I was also contemplating the 9800pro. I can get the nvidia 6800 for a fairly decent price (compared to what they sell retail) but not sure I need that much video power. I'm also wanting the 64 bit amd so I can overclock it.
