  1. I had BSOD again. Can't figure how to post dump file right now. Continuing to have intermittent BSOD and unexpected shutdown issues. Ran anvisoft from USB which apparently found problems in almost all areas. Have repaired and will update as I go.
  2. Thanks again Jacee, I will do that when I get home. I did all the above and things had been great. I notice it only happens when my wife presses the sleep button on the keyboard that when trying to "wake" from sleep is usually where it goes into shutdown errors and BSOD. I'll completely remove adobe reader and common file installer and see how it goes. Problem: My wife uses adobe creative cloud to do photo-editing - we will see how this goes. -JS

  4. Thanks for the reply Zowie. I did remove all USB from the PC, I had a 1TB external attached, and think this has been mildly helpful. Havent had an issue for a few days now but turned on PC this morning with new message "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown." I know it's not my hardware, all memory test have been normal. I can't pinpoint what's causing it!? thanks
  5. Came home and now doing random restarts again Screen came on to blue screen stating kernel error and when clicked anything it restarted on its own but again will not progress through startup in regular mode running in safe mode with networking no issues.
  6. Update Ran windows repair and think that was slightly helpful unplugged all USB and restarted in regular mode, seems to be working fine at this point. Chkdsk was normal I will update if any future problems or fixes arise. thanks
  7. Hi, first off all - thanks everyone for the time you all put into helping people on the forums. I have come here for help for many years. Now, I have a 8300 CMT HP elite pro, i7 2600, 16 GB Ram, EVGA 750, running windows 7 pro. A couple of weeks ago it started having issues where a popup would say something like adobeupdate.exe error and you could click ok and it would endlessly pop-up with something different. then it began restarting on its own. Most recently, it had an error stating it had to restart due to bluescreen. I went into startup repair menu and reinstalled windows 7. There wer
