  1. It's going to be a good summer! Hey CB, I don't know if Gryph let you know about his rig or if you have to know tonight but I think he's running EVGA Classified i7 920 3x2GB Corsair 2000 Either 2x285 SLI or 1x295 I'm not sure but I think that's what he said or was thinking about.
  2. Boot time are an unshakable 45 seconds for me. That's on about 6 varying installations and using everything from Segate 7200 rpm, raptor 10,000 rpm and SSD raided drives. It's 45 seconds no matter what I do.
  3. Everyone is free to come and go as they please. It's quite alright to mention other forums and quite honestly it's even quite alright to keep maligning the Pit. There are darn few forums where even this thread would be left up. It's a hard job to enforce forum rules, allow freedom of speech, and encourage civility. My hat's off to our active moderators who do the best job they can do. When I Visit forums I don't like I don't waste much time making suggestions to them, I just don't visit. Works for me.
  4. I 've never seen the problem in your screen shot. I'm not sure I understand your last statement. I"m certainly able to copy/past in a reply.
  5. Yes, it's that beauty and beholder thing. I think the case looks great. I expecially like the top access. I'm using an antec case for over 4 years now and have had I don't know how many builds in it. Mostly I like it because of the ease of access at the top front of case. It's edpecially purdy when I don't have to bend over, and search under the desk just to plug in a USB drive.
  6. I haven't looked to see what hardware your running cb but I'm having good luck with this MSI and it's less expensive than alot of them out there. Also if you're not running SLI there is an MSI X58 Platinum that's supposed to be pretty stable. I paid $218 for this MSI at NewEgg. Heck I'd even go for an Open Box if they had them... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...82E16813130215R
  7. Hey bigchrome. Good to see ya. I just came back for the first time in a while too. Just been swamped with personal stuff and work. You should play for us in forum warz. Your superpi score beats mine and I got all new stuff. LOL Hope you play.
  8. It's been a while so I'm really enjoying the hardware again. I gotta tell you that I haven't missed the noise. These huge powersupplies and noisy fans irritate me to death.
  9. There's still time terry... I don't hear any fat ladies.
  10. Hey Paul, it's been a while but I'm enjoying it.
  11. It's a pain. Good luck I know you get it booted.
  12. Well the scores not much to shout about but I was able to finish a PitTest @4.5. I had to disable HT. That seems to be the only setting that made a difference. Moved/changed everyother seeing in the bios. Problem is it drops performance. Sit I'm posting at 4.5 after running a PitTest. http://www.pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?c...;report=Summary
  13. It would have been paybacks for laughing at him. I'm glad too.
  14. Here Caintry. It's easier to read. I'm just going for clocks not points. http://www.pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?conid=22393543 3D 01 4.4 Air.. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff251/s...191/0140Air.jpg Haven't been able to finish 06 @ 4.4
  15. 3D06 @4.3 Air http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff251/shogan191/O642.jpg
  16. 1. Run out buy new Fan and heatsink/Arctic Silver/Air/ $84.00 2. Argue with never made it to X wife. 3. Get rattled and put rig together 4. Can't get into case. 5. Relax on couch 6 Realize how to get it in case 7.Put it in case. 8.Think about the clear tab I saw over the copper heat sink before arguement. 9 Realize I hadn't removed the plastic and it's sitting against the cpu. 10. Picture tech I watched do the same thing while he looked at smoke and remarked about the smell of burnt plastic. 11. Call myself a DA and disassemble whole thing. 12 Reassemble in less than 8 minutes. 13 come to The Pit and confess. Clock to 4.0 at stock voltages. Decide to run 06 at stock voltage ...... I'll be back..... Yep, completed 06 stock Vcore and Vdim on air @4.0. Cool.
  17. Hey terry, it was 1.32 on vcore. Seemes to clock better on low voltage. Looks like 4.2 is about it on that cooler. I just put another cooler on it and got it all together except that the darn thing won't fit in the case now. I gotta change out my work box with the other case I had so I can keep the mess down for the wife. I'm right in the middle of the famiy room with all this stuff. Now that I'm thinking about it I might have another case I can use instead of tearing my work box apart. That would be a good thing.
  18. Hey miggs, good to see you. Yep, I'm pulling the plug and putting some better air on right now. I've got water but nothing that will fit.
  19. Well, you can't really see it, but it's 4.1 on stock air for 3D06. I had a higher score with a lower clock but better memory speed, but was glad to complete at 4.1 stock air. I'm going to put on a little bit better air cooler. I'd like to get 4.2 stable but I have no idea if that's possible on air. I'll give it a go.
  20. throw your score up here so I know what to look forward to when I get some cooling going. http://www.pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?conid=22393543
  21. I can't wait to get some cooling on this beast. http://www.pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?conid=22393543
  22. There's a 20K+ Club http://www.pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?conid=22393264 Man it's been a long time. Took me forever to even get a slight overclock. Everything is different. Clock settings on this board adjust the ram settings or something. I'm having trouble with the memory settings. It gives me numberic choice as in t2, 3, 4, 5, which translates to a memory speed based on the Base Clock speed,,,,,, I think. Never heard of base clock speed. and don't know why I can't just set a memory speed. Oh well..We'll get there.
