  1. My bad on the HT Lusafis,I was going by the info in this sticky http://pcpitstop.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=112901, Thank you pentium extreme for clarifying the difference in the cores , maybe that sticky should be edited for noobs like me As for your question about background programs i would close: C:\WINDOWS\ALCWZRD.EXE C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD\PDVDServ.exe PowerDVD C:\Program Files\Digital Media Reader\shwiconem.exe Card Reader C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\jusched.exe Sun Java Update C:\WINDOWS\SOUNDMAN.EXE Realtek Sound Manager C:\WINDOWS\eHome\
  2. Sorry it took so long to reply, internet connection has been on the fritz.Anyway yes turn off HT.I always turn if HT before testing in the pit , it makes about a 2oo pt. diff. Also i would shutdown some of those numerous programs you have running in the background ,that should help your processor and memory score .
  3. thanks for the help brandon ,after some research i have found that my processor does have 30 caps. After a few Google searches i have found the only major difference is my northwood dosent have L3 cache like the EE but it has been good to me so far for overclocking. Not bad for a $130 investment.
  4. for anyone that has owned one, whats the max Ghz you have acheived while overclocking. Just curious!
  5. thanks walker . itryed that and a couple other minor tweaks and came up with thishttp://www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress.asp?id=U64ZPWLSZ0CSQZFQ
