  1. Excellent solution! I've been looking for one for about 25 years now.
  2. They're probably afraid of you Jacee.
  3. The banners are huge, and under the Pitstop logo for me, not beside it like in Keith's screenshot above....I use FF
  4. You can pick and choose what programs you want cleaned with CCleaner. So it doesn't have to touch your Nero if you don't want it to. It's a great tool! I let it scan the registry for issues, but rarely find any, and just because you scan doesn't mean you have to run the cleaner.
  5. How true....mine is more like a Hoover vacuum!
  6. Oh Wigan that made my day....thanks!
  7. And did you adjust your browser settings? How about a Pit test just to see what might be up?
  8. Duanester is right. Until we can see something more concrete, it would only be a guessing game.
  9. I was wondering how that beard is coming along now Reggie.......?
  10. Soda  <------ that's root beer. I don't drink.
  11. This should take care of your firewall, compliments of miekiemoes, but with all the malware present it might not last until it's clean again. For all those nasties, I'd go HijackThis! Hope this helps Open notepad and copy and paste next bold in it: (don't forget to copy and paste REGEDIT4) REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsFirewall\DomainProfile] "EnableFirewall"=- [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsFirewall\StandardProfile] "EnableFirewall"=- [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate] "DoNotAllowXPSP2"=- Save this as fix.reg Choose to save as *all files and place it on your desktop. There should be a little image on your desktop for it. Doubleclick on it and when it asks you if you want to merge the contents to the registry, click yes/ok. Then go to start > run and copy and paste next command in the field: services.msc Search in the list for Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) Click "stop" there. click OK and close the window. Then go back to your Controlpanel and click: Windows Firewall You should get an error then.. telling you that the service Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) is disabled/stopped and if you want to enable/start it. Click Yes/ok So the service should be started again and you will be able to change settings in it.
  12. Yep, if I could grow a beard my boss would be just a smidge annoyed. I haven't heard of too many hubbies that like their ladies bearded.
  13. I mean.....is the noise from inside? As brandon suggested, could it just be the fan speeding up? Sometimes my case hums if I set something too close to it, or on top of it.
