  1. Well, first I'll order a cheap CPU (compatible) to test that. I guess if that doesn't work then it is most likely the MB.
  2. Changed the battery and still no luck. Guess gonna have to replace motherboard.
  3. Got it about 3 years ago, don't know why it would got out, but I'll replace the battery and see.
  4. I took out both RAM modules one at a time and put both in one at a time, restarting each time and still no luck. No beep is heard after turning on the computer either.
  5. Hello, me again, I tried a new PSU but still no luck. No signal going to the monitor and not sure if it is even starting up. Could it be the processor? and after 5 min, is still shuts down again.
  6. I don't think it is a heat issue, the computer was off all night and it happened when first turned on in morning. Gonna try the PSU and see if that solves the problem. Thanks for the help. I'll let you know my progress.
  7. Hello, Here are the steps to problems and solutions I have taken so far: 1. Computer turned on but monitor has blank screen. 2. Thought it was video card gone bad. Planned on buying new card next day. 3. Next day, thought about mayby monitor is bad, so replaced with spare monitor, and replaced the video card. Computer turned on, thought all was fine (just bad monitor) then 5 min later the computer just turned off. 4. Bought a new graphics card, installed, turned on computer, got a blank screen, then computer just turned off again. 5. Now I'm stumped. Motherboard? Power Supply? Thanks for any help, eerf
  8. here is the link to the Pit Test: TechExpress link for your current results: http://www.pcpitstop.com/techexpress.asp?id=CDDDTWEATQGSJNE9
  9. so, what your saying is the ? Device is being shown as a 2nd ATI Card that isn't there? And it is really nothing and disabling it is fine? Or I need to reinstall the drivers? Thanks for the help.
  10. I tired the link above for the motherboard drivers and the yellow question mark is still there. I also did a PC Full Test scan and Driver Update again, but no luck. I just can't figure out what it is.
  11. I'll try a Pit Test again, but earlier it didn't show anything, nor does Driver Update. I installed all I could think of from the motherboard disk, but I'll try the link abouve as well. Thanks, Joe
  12. okay, thanks for the help.
  13. Hello, My son's computer under Device Manager has a yellow question mark under Other devices that says it is a PCI Device with no driver. Under properties it says the Location is "PCI Slot 6 (PCI bus 1, device 0, function 1)". Now I have reformatted his drive and reinstalled windows and reinstalled drivers for all the hardware but can't figure out what device this can be. I currently have it disabled. My son was having problems with some of his games (especially online games) locking up and I noticed the yellow question mark and thought it might be related which is why I ended up starting over. The motherboard is ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe. Video Card is ATI 2600 Pro Network card is Lynksys Wireless They are the only PCI slots being used and both have drivers and are working. Thanks for any help, Joe
  14. yea, was thinking about doing that.
