For a 2x1gb pair of ram not able to work well with each other?
I have 2x1gb pair of Crucial Ballistix on a 680i board.
Together in slots 0 and 2 they'll pass the memory test but not the NVIDIA Memory Test or this program I use called MemTest. Individually they work fine in slot 0 passing all the tests.
Right now I have 1gb stick in slot 2 that passed the motherboard's memory testing but I haven't tested it out with the MemTest program or tested my other stick yet in slot 2. I've submitted a RMA a couple weeks ago as something similar like this happen to were my machine would crash as it tried to load windows but I managed to get everything working again after I tested the sticks. I don't know wrather it's the motherboard or the RAM so would it be better to RMA the RAM, Motherboard or both? if I RMA my board would I get another 680i back or would I get an upgrade like how EVGA has been doing with video cards?
OS: Windows Vista 64 bit
Motherboard: EVGA 680i
RAM: 2x1gb Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400
Graphics Card: EVGA 9600 GT SC
