  1. Personally, I think it's because we don't have labor unions here. At one job I had, it was for a shipping company that ships to Puerto Rico, Alaska, and Hawaii. The entire technology was based in Dallas, so far away from any port. They told me the main reason was because of the lack of labor unions. Didn't mean to hijack the thread. Coke for me. Usually we just order by name, with a "Coke" being generic and "Coca-Cola" being specific.
  2. I didn't know anybody move to michigan. I thought all the people from michigan moved to Texas.
  3. There are cultural differences between north / south / east / west here in the US, but that's hardly a race. There are as many diverse races here in Texas as there are in the north. I think you're trying to read more into my post than was there. Besides, what exactly is a "Good ol' boy"?
  4. Do you know the difference between a Yankee and a damn Yankee? A Yankee is a baseball player.
  5. Please don't refer to all U.S. Citizens as Yankees. That's the equivilant of referring to all Britons as "Scotch" (Yes, I know scotch is a whiskey. I have a big bottle of it I brought back from Mexico).
  6. Good site, Bruce. The only really good voice recognition system that I've encountered is for American Airlines. If it can understand me, it should be able to understand anyone.
  7. Possible? Yes Recommended? No Why not just try it and do a pit test to see how it compares? If you do, post the results here.
  8. I fixed your avatar for you. Want me to change it for you?
  9. No need to get personal. If you're going to say that, you might as well call me a Canadian.
  10. You know cops, they don't have a sense of humor.
  11. The cop once pulled me over for running a stop sign. He asked if I saw it. I said, "Yes, but I don't believe everything I read."
  12. Paterns of behavior is indicative of the persons character. To think otherwise would be shortsighted. Yes, there should be more taken into account that just a raw (no pun intended) number. The broader picture should be considered, such as if they were in relationships or if it was "just a sex thing", how long ago or how far between, etc. One of the cool things about working from home is that I can have the TV on through out the day. Has anyone watch the Maury Povich talk show? They constantly have paternity tests on there to prove who the father is of women's children. Today, there was a woman on there giving the 9th person a DNA test and another woman giving a 13th person a DNA test. Just from a health stand point that was already pointed out, it shouldn't be wise to have unprotected sex with that many people. And the fact that it's in such a short amount of time should indicate that there is some other issue going on with the person in question. Yes people should be able to forgive, but that doesn't mean that you have to let yourself get trapped into something that you wouldn't otherwise do. Shortsighted? I don't think so.
  13. By some one's past actions, it's usually easier to predict what their future actions are going to be. Besides, if there's something is someone's past that is considered a "deal-breaker", it's better to know about it before things get too serious. I have had, too many times, a girl pretend she was somebody she wasn't. It seems I would fall for the girl she pretended to be but not the girl who she really was. If I would have know about them earlier than I did, I wouldn't have wasted either one of our time. That's why I'm very cautious about the girl I'm currently with. As for the answer of how much is too much, well, that's subjective. Didn't they make an episode of Sex in the City about this topic?
