  10. Try and download HiJackThis. Save to it's own folder on desktop. Open the program and select to "Scan and save a log". Do Not Have HJT Fix Anything!!! After scanning is complete the log will open in Notepad. Copy/Paste the contents of the log in a new thread that you start here > http://forums.pcpitstop.com/index.php?showforum=25 Please be patient and wait for a Trusted Advisor to help you, they are heavily burdened with logs.
  11. Mrs. kd5......not all tatoos are demons and satanic figures. Yes when I see folks with those kind of tatoos I become wary.....however my good friend has several tatoos on his body, arms and his back, none of which are satanic and most of which indicate his presence in a place called Vietnam. He's as nice a guy as you'd ever want to meet, even tho' he's covered in tatoos and rides a motorcycle wearing "club" colors. Difference is that he's a member of a "good" bike club. Fine upstanding guys all round. edit: btw, I have an Eagle tat on my right shoulder.......
  12. Well, I'm down with the guys on this one......"sleeves" nowadays could cost you a good paying job, because of bosses not wanting to put you out front with the public. However if you insist, I'd go with the Angels/Demons, with the Angels winning of course!
  13. Here's something that I follow exclusively while doing any install: Taken from here: http://bctis.com/page.php?7 Although you're not running RAID, you should still go through all the motions.
  14. Try these things: Download SUPERAntispyware. Install, update and run a full/complete scan. Next download Malwarebytes. Here's how to run it: # Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program. # At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish. # If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. # Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan. # When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results. # Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. Post back with the logs from both programs and let us know how it goes.
  15. IMO proper spelling should be kernel32.dll. Not kernalxx.xxx And how can it be modified before it was created????

  23. Hi peterprob, and Welcome to The PIT!! Lets start with some basic scans, I won't swear it'll help, but what the hey.....! First download and run SUPERAntispyware update and run a full/complete scan... Next snag Malwarebytes here's how to run it: # Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program. After running those scans post back with a logfile from each and let us know if they find anything.......
