  1. Hello trickie182 Sounds like you've picked up a couple of nasties. Click here to download the HijackThis Installer. Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop. Double-click on HJTInstall.exe to run the program. By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis. Accept the license agreement by clicking the "I Accept" button. Click on the "Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log. Click "Save log" to save the log file and then the log will open in Notepad. Click on Edit>Select All, then click on "Edit>Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log. Then go to this forum and start a new thread for a Trusted Advisor to help you. Do NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet! Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required. Be patient, they get a little busy.
  2. Barbequed Ribs with Dirty Rice & Beans.
  3. Try rebooting your internet connection. Unplug the power supplies to your router and modem. That should resolve your issue. If not, contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) technical support, it may be an issue on their end.
  4. Lovely pic but I would discolor the green grass by the man's waist. It distracts from the main focal point of the picture.
  5. Why I-80? Cause you're right, we can get nasty weather at that time of the year. Uh..better figure a bit higher than that or plan to make it clear across Wyoming in one day, again depending upon weather, you could get stuck in Rock Springs/Green River for 3 days, with a room price of $120 per night. Personally, I'd take the newer car. If it has a breakdown, it'll be covered under the warranty, so you wouldn't be paying out-of-pocket.
  6. If you don't use AOL or any of their services, then no, you don't need to keep it on your computer. You can remove it through the Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
  7. What a remarkable life he has lived. R.I.P. Mr. Newman.
  8. I disabled the Norton's firewall. I'll take the Incredimail under advisement. I downloaded the VundoFix, ran it as instructed. It said no files were detected ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ VundoFix V5.1.1 Running as SYSTEM from c:\windows\system32\VundoFix.exe Checking Java version... Java version is 1.4.2.3 Scan started at 5:28:04 PM 7/9/2006 Listing files found while scanning.... No infected files were found. VundoFix V5.1.1 Running as SYSTEM from c:\windows\system32\VundoFix.exe Checking Java version... Java version is 1.4.2.3 Scan started at 5:34:32 PM 7/9/2006 Listing files found while scanning.... No infected files were found. Beginning removal... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I downloaded the ewido. I am unable to boot up in Safe Mode, either through the Administrator account or the 1 user account. The same thing happens with either account. It will begin to go into the safe mode, it will flash the screen asking if you want to continue booting up into safe mode, then that screen disappears before the "Yes" or "No" options can be clicked. Then it stops loading the safe mode screen. I'll await further instructions. 10. Open Outlook, click on Tools > Accounts > Mail tab. You should already have one account listed there. Click on it once to highlight and then select properties on the right. The account configuration screen will open. Select the Servers tab and all your email server information is located there. Copy the information and close the screen. Then create your new email account as directed above
  11. Yup, had to have the key in the on position, forgot about that. Dad used to always have a key in the ignition though, he sawed off the keys so they'd always be in there. Of course this was back in the day when you could do such things and still have a pickup in the driveway next morning
  12. I'm not sure if it works with the newer models but you can start a manual in pre-1980's by putting it in neutral, giving it a good push, push in on the clutch, put it into 1st gear and pop the clutch out and it'll start the engine. Not a good idea to try pushing on an uphill Downhill works the best
