  3. Your best off doing it yourself, make a back-up then a copy change the copy to a text and then do a word or string search for programs you know you have removed make the edits and save as a reged.reg
  4. With the recent problems being encountered by Windows users all across the country, people are begin to ask themselves if windows is a virus. In response to the high demand for an answer to that question a study was done and concluded the following. 1. Viruses replicate quickly. Windows does this. 2. Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the system as they do so. Windows does this. 3. Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk. Windows does this. 4. Viruses are usually carried, unkown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems. Windows does that too. 5. Viruses will occasionally make the user suspect their system is too slow (see 2) and the user will buy new hardware. Same with Windows, yet again. Maybe Windows really is a virus. Nope! There is a difference! Viruses are well supported by their authors, are frequently updated, and tend to become more sophisticated as they mature. So there! Windows is not a virus.

  7. Oh, and just how long will that be Bruce ? For me this really hits home I buy all my own fuel out of my pocket for both work and home my work fuel bill has more than doubled the last couple of years, another aspect that not everyone is thinking of is just how many of the items one uses everyday is directly related to petroleum, those items will go up in price as well. For those like my self who just get by paycheck to pay check this is really going to hurt.
  8. BP Shutting Down Large Alaska Oil Field By Associated Press 28 minutes ago Company officials said it would take days to shut down the oil field. Once completed, it's expected to reduce oil field production by 400,000 barrels a day. Do any of you have any idea of waht this means?

  10. Hmmm odd that should have worked have you gone back to the internet settings to see if they are the way you re-set them? did you re-boot?

  12. Is the test page the only thing that does not work? Are you getting any kind of an error or jsut timed out? Are you running a firewall? Did you check the correct port and see that it was open?
  13. Seems to be the norm when the weather is warm, when i read a post like that the first thing that comes to mind is a fan
  14. Have you placed anything electrical near your monitor lately? like a fan or anyting else that draws a steady flow of power?

Strange error, i have never seen or heard that one before I love a challenge but it will have to wait, i am leaving for work here in a bit I will check out this thread when i get home and check around to see if i can be of some real help. If ya get it fixed pleae post how something just came to mind say's stand alone is it possible that it is beeing read as an external or a usb drive also did this come with drivers? ok now i am really getting ready to leave

  21. Post a test, Also game and overclocking questions get faster responses in the oc forum checking on your earlier question on playing off line

Always use the latest drivers and if you can get them form the manufactures website all the better curious as this is a wireless do you happen to be using the computers in the same general area and is there any thing electrical in use close by such as a tv,fan ac or anything else that draws a lot of power or possibly speakers of any kind?
  23. are there any issues under device manager? Also check the drivers as well make sure they are what you think they should be.
