  1. Go here http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=745 and download. Read software description, it explains how to use it better tnan I could. Hope this helps.
  2. I know , but I'm going will all new parts, such as quad core, atleast 4 gigs of ram, 4 hdd's in raid 0 , 2 high end vid cards, massive psu and dual boot with xp/vista. The system in my sig will be used as a server , not transferring any of that over to new rig.
  3. No, I will not be using the system in my sig, I'm building a whole new system. As far as my monitor it does have vga, hdmi, dvi, and 1080i. I guess i will be going with sli. that was my first choice anyway, I just wanted to make sure it was the right choice before I chose the motherboard. I'm planning on spending around $2500 to $3000 to build an awesome machine and I didn't want to buy 1 type of setup and regret it later, so thanks for the advice.
  4. I'm building a new machine, going with sli or crossfire. My question is, I am using a 32in flat lcd tv as my monitor so my highest and normal resolution is 1360 x 768 and of course it is widescreen. If I understand it right, then crossfire will work better in my situation because of the way it actually splits the graphics between the 2 cards, am i right on this or was I was misinformed? The supertile method seems to be the way to go in my setup which sli doesn't offer. Below is a link to better explain. Thanks in advance. http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Reviews/Sp...74&PageId=1
  5. That really sucks, I use it all the time
  6. I'm not trying to start an argument or be a jerk, But I think that it is best left alone. Piracy is bad, but there are a lot worse things going on in the world. Unless someone is doing something on purpose to hurt another life, then it is best to leave it alone. It just seems petty to me, I guess.
  7. Well, I have been running my weed whacker powered hd for a while now, it is turning about 10,000 to 12,000 rpms and it is getting around 500 gigabytes a gallon. Oh, and I haven't heard my cpu fan at all. LOL
  8. LOL. I like that idea. Now I won't be bothered by the sound of my cpu fan. Thanks a million pal.
  9. I'm sorry, I should have went into more detail. I use mostly highest settings, because I tried to use medium settings but I missed out on a lot of detail. Like the shadows for example, on lower settings you really don't see the shadows of the enemy soldiers, but on high settings if an enemy soldier is hiding around the corner it will cast their shadow so your not caught of guard and die. Also setting your view distance makes a big difference. In this game you need every advantage that you can get, could mean the difference of life or a lot of deaths.
  10. I started with a gig of ram and it still wasn't enough. When I added another 512, bringing the total to 1.5 g of ram, the lagging finally stopped. It wasn't because I have a weak machine (see sig). This game just uses a lot mem. If you do go with 1.5 g of ram, change your swap file size to 512 min & max and move it to a different partition than your OS and your machine will scream.
  11. The simplest way to explain the difference is... DSL is usually a little slower than Cable, but Cable isn't constant like DSL. With DSL, it is run through your phone line and only runs to your house. With Cable, you share the same line with everyone in your neighborhood. If only a few people are on then it is at flying speeds, but if everyone gets on it then you might as well have dial-up.So , for example, if you want a constant download of say 1500mbs then go with DSL, if you want a possible download of 3000mbs but can drop to 500mbs then go with Cable. Hope this helps.
  12. I thought the RESIDENT EVIL movies were pretty good.
  13. Doesn't work on the K8V SE DELUXE either. What a shame.
  14. If the card is still under factory warranty, then do a RMA on it. Make sure that it has the original heatsink & fan, box, and etc. I have done this with several hardware components, wether they died from normal use or overclocking, I have never had a problem getting the companies to send me a new one. If they send you a new one, you won't be out any money so you can save for a really good card later. Hope this helps.
