  2. Not really sure I follow Zowie but are you referring to enabling SR after it was disabled? I always run my AV & spyware programs with SR disabled (WinXP-home) & I just go Start/Control panel/System/SR Tab/Check "Turn off SR"/Apply/OK. When I am through, I just reverse it. This sets a new SR point. Regards, Hawk
  3. Hi Random, There should be some action on you HJT log as I sent a PM to one of the members who specializes in reading these logs. Check your thread in the HJT this forum later today. Regards, Hawk
  4. Because I saw the post...that is where I got it. I think this is Marions' thread so we had better get off it. Hawk
  5. I know you have Naddie...but did you try it? Hawk
  6. I think you mean a "Spell Checker"? This one works, try it the next time you post. Once you set it up, just R/clk your mouse & click CHECK SPELLING". Any word it doesn't recognize like an abbreviation, it will ask to replace or ignore. This is where it is: http://www.iespell.com/ Hawk
  7. Yes it has a similar program called "Tea Timer". I don't use it as I had a bit of a problem with it in one of the Beta versions of Spybot. Anyhow, I don't really need it with RegProt already active. Regards, Hawk
  8. So that is what one looks like. Nope....never saw it before...or any others for that matter. Been using Windows Messenger for quite awhile & don't think I am about to disable it. Don't really care for all the "Bells & Whistles" with MSN Messenger. Hawk
  9. I'm sitting here wondering why I never had a popup with Windows Messenger. What do they look like. Hawk
  10. Hi Marion, I am not certain about ME having Windows Messenger but I think it may. According to the info I read, there can be a conflict with it & MSN Messenger, if you have them both on your system. In fact, I have Windows Mess & uninstalled it to d/l MSN Mess. & had nothing but problems. I went back to WinMess. It can communicate with MSN Mess with no problem. If you are going to use it, make sure you have the most recent version. Check one of the links below. It also has audio & video capabilities. You might look at these: http://messenger.jonathankay.com/
  11. Happy it worked out Jackpot. Shouldn't put good stuff in recycle bin Just kidding... If you would like to look around on a good, safe "Freeware site", have a look at this one: http://freewarearena.org/PHPNuke/index.php If you go there, look to your left & click on downloads. You will be given a huge selection of programs...and all freeware. Don't d/l ones you don't understand..ok? Good luck, Hawk
