  1. which ever one...just stay away from diamond....they havent had the good quality ever... just read the reviews on the card....it will be a good card....
  2. blows the 285 away...and trades punches with the 295...its the fastest single GPU at the moment...and at $380 its a great price.. newegg has a few in stock...
  3. you can pay the price to get one ;-) http://computers.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw...mp;_osacat=3667
  4. when you get the chance to start really testing....drop it to about 1.11 to 1.12(somewhere in there..)...i think it should be able to boot at that.. ;-)
  5. Whats your base voltage to get the thing started up on stock?
  6. I dont think any cards come with an adaptor... you will have to buy them seperately... The only models to come with built-in HDMI are going to be the newest HD series from ATI...there are very few cards that come with anything HDMI
  7. Well you did buy a Asus RIIe....thats a $400 mobo...you should treat it like a $400 mobo...
  8. Well it seems i got duped....it was too good to be true....im in the process of getting a new chip. Well i got the a 2nd choice chip... 3849b....paid $265 for this one and i hope i get it this time. Anways...it should be there at the end of the week or next week...ill know by tommorow...and as for the last seller im in the process of getting my money back though the paypal dispute. Anyways...i think my drives should be here this week... You just have to scope out ebay and hope the seller has a certain batch #.... i looked out for 2 batches....3845b which is the most desireable batch or the secondary which is the 3849b....those seems to be 4.5ghz+ ;-) but all the b batches are just a mixed review of oc'ing. Good luck. You can also call local computer stores and see what batched they have...it has been reported that fry's stores have recently gotten some 3845 batch but im sure they will go quick. Also Microcenter seems to be a secondary store to look in. I dont have any computer stores in the local area except for frys but thats half an hour away...
  9. yea...i tough that was interesting...the only this is it has to go evenly in...as previous boards you could kind of angle it in....but its still nice... I guess next week i got to modify my lian li backplate on the removable motherboard. I will cut an access hole for the V10 because i has to be bolted in... and it will be easier to remove the cooler if i need to...
  10. Well i guess the last seller i went with was shady and took my money...but i have paypal working on getting me my money back...It was a 3845b chip that is sought after ;-) Well now im set back a few days trying to search for the chip i want. I think i may have it. I will know tommorow if i get it or not... It should be an early batch 3849b...i was hoping for either the 3845b(and lot version) or the 3849b(early lot version.). So im hoping for some luck geting the chip i want. Anyways...here the early set of items and im at a stand still until i get some info on the chip.
  11. oh...i was hoping you would get the 3849b or the 3845b...ive done my research on these chips...while thats still a good chip i was hoping for better luck....but lets hope you get something good outta that chip :-)
  12. heres a sapphire 4890...its only a 1gb..but it works... :-) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...2-848-_-Product $175 AR
  13. I bought it last tuesday...they didnt have any recent rating...the last one was over a year ago...but i got it for under $220...i knew it was too good to be true...
  14. nice stuff...i think i got a little screwed on my CPU...the seller never replied to any of my emails...luckily i paid through paypal and i will hopefully get a resolution soon.. I had a 3845B chip on order...now i think i may have to find a new chip...
  15. Thats because it is EATX....quite a nice board...an inch wider that the regular motherboards... and the taller NB heat sink its it for sure bigger. But over all its nice...have fun with it.
  16. good luck finding one...lol...everywhere that got it in stock is out of stock almost instantly. The only place to have some in stock is Zipzoomfly...but i would stay away from Diamond brand cards...lol....there a reason why they are still in stock. They do have built in HDMI in the 5870's which is a nice option. :-)
  17. Do you have a price line? just wondering...alot of cards will work because we barely use the full potential on these massive graphics cards... if you dont have any priceline go for a gtx295...lol... what kind of power supply do you have?
  18. the corsair case has been rated by a couple sites as one of the best cases... the only drawback(and the one this holding me from buying..) is the $280 price tag. I like just a simple looking and full tower case... Reviews... http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=784&type=expert http://www.hardware.info/en-US/extcontent/...Chassis_Review/ I i may just stick with my current lian li mid tower... whoa...last week newegg had it for 280 with free shiping....
  19. I like to have a window...because i do have a v10 for looks and cooling... I like the cable management of the corsair case too...
  20. I put off the case for a little bit....im going to test it in the lian li case first...
  21. man...it seems like forever for me to get the main components in... the ram will be here tommorow...but the stupid CPU and SSD are taking longer than expected to get here. Everything else is in..
  22. Well it seems to be a crapshoot on what kind of o/c results. So who knows...you are sure you got a D0 stepping? There seems to be quite a few batch A sets still floating around that dont o/c as well as the as the batch B...but its really just a luck of the draw... When i get in my build we will put our test up against each other okay? haha
  23. hmm...i only purchased DDR3 1600...i dont think there are any really good ddr3 2000 sets out yet...and most of them are the higher profile...which i cannot use with my v10...so i had to go with the 1600... I went with a Corsair DDR3 1600 set....hope they o/c well...
