  1. Look at Bear's posting for places to download hijack this. Get the download. Then post the hijack this log in the hijack this forum. You will see it at the top of the virus forum. What hijack is doing is showing what is in your startup programs. A lot of scumbags get into the startup and change your browser to a different direction or just plain send information back to their computers tracking your habits. Hope this helps you.
  2. I personally usually do not get involved in these polictical discussions the way some of you do. However, in this case, I think I will. President Bush has got the election sewed up. All he needs to do now is not make any major bunders or any other stupid thing. The Democratic Convention was a shambles. The U.S. Senator from Louisiana, a Democrat, has criticized Kerry for his proposed tax raises and add on tax raises. Louisina, for the first time in years, is starting to make some money. The proposed tax raises that Kerry supports would ruin this and start putting people out of jobs. Even Kennedy was disappointed in Kerry's performance at the convention. Kerry's popularity did not go up in the polls as they were suppose to. His Gallup poll should have been at least 15% to maintain momentum for Kerry's bid for the Presidency. He got two percent which went away at the first of the week after the convention. All is not lost for Kerry. The Democratics are hoping that Bush will do the same thing at his convention. Bush is not that well liked anyway, especially by moderates. Everyone knows that he will lose Powell at the first of next year. That could affect the poll. However, moderates would rather have Bush in then Kerry. Moderates see Kerry as being too liberal and being against things they are for. No one likes the idea of more taxes either. Kerry has also been caught in some untruthful sayings. A majority of the men who served with him have said they never wanted their photograph of Viet Nam being used for political reaons. Kerry used it anyway. A lawsuit is impending from the men he served with to pull the photograph.
  3. All I can find is that any web search is that it is a trojan that can download up to 10 URL's.
  4. According to some security nets, Fresh Devices is now considered spyware. I know the Accelerator I got from them had two trojans, 3 bonzi's, and a few more badies. Liked to have gummed up my computer. I have never had any luck with accelerators. The best one I found was spyware, but it worked.
  5. What is this that all military rifles are automatic weapons? I have an AR15 which is an M16 and it is not automatic. All the UZI's I have seen lately are retired. They are considered too old and not cool any more. All of the ones I have ever seen are semi-automatic to. Most people do not own machine guns. The only machine guns I have seen belones to the military. You have to have a Class V license to even own an automatic weapon. how many liquor stores, banks, fast food places, or gas stations have ever been held up by a person using machine guns? Not any that I know about. Most are robbed by people using a six shooter like a .38 that will only shoot about 6 bullets before blowing up. They use cheap guns that only cost about 50 dollars brand new. The reason they cost that much is because of inflation. Don't let Sara Brady or any of that bunch try to tell you different. They do not even know what they are talking about most of the time and when they do, they lie about it. I thought the funnest thing I ever heard of is when Sara Brady said if your kid was over at a neighbor's house and saw a gun, to run home and tell their parents about it. Everyone in a 50 mile radius of my home have at least a shotgun, rifle, and a good pistol. Their kids usually have a .22 since they have been using since they were ten. As for owning a gun to do harm, even most police officers never use their weapons during their career. A gun only does what you want it to. I now use mine for target pratice. Now, if someone tries to break into my home and I am here, one of my guns will do bodyly harm and that person will probably be dead. We also have a lot of home invasions where a lot of people are shot or stabbed to death for the pleasure of just killing them. As times get worse in this country, we are going to need all the protection we can find. I will not be here when that happens, but a lot of you will be. Believe me when I say this. Our country is going to h... in a basket and our government is going to break down. This has happened in every empire since the world started. What makes us different?

  7. AX: There is nothing seperating the continent from Alaska to Brazil. Just like Europe, we have all of these countries on one continent. The only thing that divide us is language. Or did I miss an ocean or two? You can take the Pan American Highway from Brazil to the United States and then drive all the way to the end of Alaska. I called this a continent. South American is part of this continent. To all of you who think we did wrong to Japan by bombing them. If we had not done that, in less then a week afterward, millions of Americans would have died in their homes and at work due to chemical warfare that Japan was going to use on us. They even had a bomber that could travel from Japn to New York and back to Japan. I am not saying the bombers would not have been shot down, but we were that close to having WMD's released on us. Shoot yes we had reason to use Atomic weapons on them. It was total war. As for Canada, I will unfortunately never get to visit that country. Nor will I ever be able to even go on vaction in Texas. I am now too weak to go anywhere except to my computer and the television set. Every country has its good and bad points. People are different in their beliefs, even Americans. No matter what religion you are or are not, you can trace your ancestry back to the biginning of mankind. We co-existed with the pre humans until they died out. We took over this planet, for better or worse, until we have arrived to where we are today. I believe our species are doomed, and will die out like other species and something different will take over. History repeats itself, but we have never learned this lesson.
  8. DW: I am referring to the ones that neighbors are miles away and live on seconary roads. But if you say you do not get snow, you do not get snow. Most of others get it. :
  9. America an evil empire? What other country has taken time to rebuild nations that have attacked us? Look at Germenay and Japan. What other country honors its treaties more? What other country spends its wealth to help other people that need it? Look at all the starving people we have fed all over the world. Sure, we have our faults just like anyone else. But at least we can criticize our government if we want to. We call our politicans crooks and threves. In some cases they are. We send our troops overseas when the UN asks us to. We send our boys and girls in harms way if a country appeals to us. How many countries will do this? We ask for no empire. We did not by design become the strongest country in the world. It just happened. If the Americans want to, they will put what I call a traitor in office next year. Our regular President is too idealistic. Canadians get to come to our country when they want to. Most are greeted with fondness. After all, a lot of Americans settled in Canida after the Revolutionary War. I have talked to Canadians and found them to be friendly and fun to talk to. I even have a friend that is Canadian. Canadians are a hardy people living in places that the nearest neighbor might be twenty miles away. Your winters are harsh and very cold, so you have to be hardy. A lot of you get snowed in for the winter, so you have to have supplies for a number of months. No America is not an evil empire. Your youth has not been educated about what we have done. But I can turn this around and say our youth has not been educated about you country. On this continent, which streaches to Brazil are all one.
  10. There will never be anyone as good as Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Elvis the Plevis, Johnny Paycheck, Ernest Tubbs, Minnie Pearl, etc.
  11. Air Cadet: You must be reading a text history book for schools. The one that says that the U.S. bombed Pearl Harbor and blamed it on the Japanese and that we dropped the Bomb on N. Korea. Even the History Channel has published what I said about the Japanese Submarines. The Japanese was not going to surrender until after we dropped the bomb. The bombers were being loaded with biochemical weapons or I should say starting to get ready when the first bomb dropped. What would you have the U.S. do? Lose a couple of million Americans or bomb Japan? Then invade Japan and kill every Japanese in the islands? and lose another million Americans while we did this? This is where running down our own country and blaming ourselfs for offenses of others have gotten us. I do not think the American people will let us win another war. We rather be invaded, murdered, or worse, just so we can say peace won. If you can read English, thank a teacher. If you speak in English, thank a vet.
  12. Better still, count kazaa as spyware like most of my security programs I have downloaded does.
  13. The troops will be given orders to report to a base at such and such a time, usually several days. The reason we used nuclear weapons on Japan at the end of WWII was because we were going to lose about a million men on the assualt of Japan. The U.S. people were tired and our troops were tired. We started drafting men that had one leg and one arm missing. Men with both legs missing were drafted. They could set in chairs and type all of the paper work. It was said at the time that this draft could release up to two new armies of able bodied men. My father was a man who could only use one arm. He had a birth defect. He was drafted in Beaumont, Texas and was on his way to the induction center when Japan surrendered. Truman gave Japan's leaders a deadline and told them what he was going to do. Japan's leaders told Truman to go jump in the lake. The first bomb was dropped. Again Truman offered Japan to surrender, otherwise he would drop another bomb. Again, Japan ignored him. He dropped the second bomb. If it were not for the emperor of Japan, a third bomb would probably been dropped. The entire world was with us on this decision. No one questioned anything about using the bombs. Japan's leaders, before, had told the people of Japan that if it took everyone to die, they would not surrender. The japanese people said "Bonzi." Japan was about to release Biological warfare on the U.S. They had fighter jets, and I said jets, ready to go. They had bombers that could fly 6,000 miles on its tanks of fuel. The bombers were as fast as our fighters. The Japanese had stockpiled tons of biological chemicals stored and ready to use them. There were special submarines made to house three jet planes each. They could take off from these subs after the subs arrived off the U.S. coast. The subs were enroute to the United States when Japan surrendered. There were about 10 subs. One sub was to go into the Gulf of Mexico and drop the Biological bombs on Houston, New Orleans, Miami, and anywheres else they could have found. Truman knew all of this, contrary to what history sometimes say. Some of these biochemicals would unleash unknown plagues that would have killed thousands of Americans. All told, if all the subs reached the U.S., and there was no reason why they would not, there would have been a death toll close to 3 million Americans. This was the reason behind the bombs. Most of this is just starting to come out after all of these years. I probably will not be alive when all of it comes out. So yes, we did have a reason to use nuclear weapons. The only difference is that we got the bomb and used it first. Col. Tibbs is still proud that he dropped the bomb that ended WWII. We in the United States have become so moral, that we forget why we go to war. We have become placid and embrace the anti-war. I am no war monger, but when it is time to fight and have depriavities that you face in wartime, you have to fight. You can use all the words you want about you can talk out your problems and 20/20 is hindsight, but the fact is, how many times do you turn your cheek to get slapped and fight back? Ten times? a hundred? History repeats itself and no one does anything about it. We are repeating hiistory right now. The United States is falling and we are falling fast. A country is only as good as its citizens. After 9/11, I did not see droves of people waiting to enlist in the military. Most of the American people told themselves that they were too good to be in the military. The dollar speaks, not the heart. And so our servicemen die and everyone says too bad, but better you then me.
  14. Gamble: I know that the troops are a deterence. I was one for 11 years. So what you are saying is that we do not rescue or attempt to rescue those in S. Korea if they are attacked? Are we then just to let them die because that's all they are, a deterence? Nothing else? No rescue, no hope, just like the guys in the Philippines at the beginning of WWII? (The only difference is that we were destroyed in Hawaii and could not rescue those guys.) Also, in Germany we have more then 28,000 troops. During the Cold War, they would slowly move back while the Russians attacked if we got into a heated war. The detterence was that Russia did not know if we would use nukes against them or not. We would not have used nukes in a conventual war. That was the way we were trained and that part of the training is still true. We go nuclear in a conventual war? The politicians would not allow that and the American people would not allow it. Neither would the rest of the world. Now, if they attacked with nucks, that would be a defferent story. If we did it first, the United States would be a nuclear pile of ashes once the world got through with us. We would also probably blow away the atmosphere. If the world was real lucky, maybe 2000 or 4000 people would survive the nuclear winter and would start a new race.
  15. My reasoning is like this. Our armed forces are scattered all over the world. Half of our military are in Iraq or Afghanistan. Clinton, when he was president, committed about one quarter of our military to other countries for police work. That means that right now, three quarters of our military is tied up. Now, we are starting to take troops from South Korea to bloster our forces in Iraq, The situation is so bad, that troops are being kept in the military after their enlistment is over. Let me put you in a situation that congress has to figure out. Seeing that we have withdrawn a lot of troops from S. Korea and put halfway around the world in another country. We now have just 28,000 troops in South Korea. That is just about one third of troops left. North Korea makes a sudden attack into South Korea. Our troops are surrounded and outnumbered. One has to remember that N. Korea has over a million men that are pretty well trained. Our troops are fighting for their lives. In Formosa, the National Chinese has just over a million me under arms well trained. China has millions of men well trained. China has always said they will take over Formosa because it is their territory. They are always rattleing their saber, even now. About a week after N. Korea invaded S. Korea, the Chinese invade Formosia. No one is using nukes nor other weapons of mass destruction. With whom are we going to rescue our troops in S. Korea? Whom is going to the aid of the Chinese in Formosa and what troops we have stationed there, about 2000 men and women plus their dependents. Do we let our troops in S. Korea fight to the bitter end and let whats left of them to surrender? And when well we get these troops back, if ever? We did not draft anyone, the missions of the armed forces has three quarters of its troops tied down. Where are the troops that can rescue our troops? Who can come to the aid of Formosa? Are we not going to honor our committements to S. Korea? Are we going to say to the Norht koreans, king X, while we disengage our troops and take 6 to 8 weeks to get our equipment over to S. Korea? Now, show me more arguements against the draft. Post more comments to answer these questions. After that, send your suggestions to congress who is struggling with these and other questions.
