I have looked through the support forum and see that an initial "Full" scan will take some time, but I think two days for a scan seems a little excessive, I have yet to be able to complete a full scan because I can't be without my computer for three or four days. I also read that if you have to use the Alt F4 it will restart and pick perform faster, yet this is not the case! I fianlly let PCMatic work in the background although your software recommends against this, but I had no choice and it finally made it through the Phase 2 stage, Phase 3 went rather quickly but then Phase 4 started the slow agonizing speed of the Phase 2, I feel like something is seriously in error here as reading your forums it states that even with a slow computer and disk it should only take a matter of hours not days to perform! What is a normal scan time for a 10 year old computer with a 1.8 TB drive?

  4. That is true and checks with Repair Active X and Overdrive has not resolved the problem and not longer receiving feed back from the help desk. So at this point we are "out of the box" and the forum seems a good place to start.

  17. I keep trying to get support but apparently nothing with this program seems to work!!!! Scan is taking over 12 hours I don't think this is normal from what I read but even the support Link throws an ERROR https://www.pcmatic.com/support How do you get support????? Tony
  18. I am getting this error. I just got a new computer. I uninstalled the trial McAffee program that was on it and disable windows firewall but i still get this error Ajax error returned, error SaveSpeedTests.asp. when I try to run my first scan. It causes PCMatic to crash and reboot. I have retired running the scan several times but this continues to happen and won't complete the scan. Can you please help with this? Thank You!

  20. Alcatel phone on AT&T prepaid. Trying to install any app via play store (Android phone) it will just say waiting for download, get to 100% downloaded and then just start trying to download again. It won't ever try to install. There's plenty of storage space available, or at least should be since many apps have been removed and not much else installed besides for Android system. I believe the phone has built in 8GB or 16GB of storage and we even put in a 16GB micro SD. Any suggestions?

  22. There are a number of threads on this topic and in this case Super Shield opens just fine after startup or a reboot. The problem arises after a period of time working at my PC. It is then PCMatic will not open or otherwise times out. I checked the Active X setting and that the cache is empty. Its only after a reboot that the program will open but again after a period of time it will not. Would like some suggestions beyond the normal advise given.
  23. HP just put a new updated driver on their site, installed it and so far seems to have solved the issue.

HP Pavilion laptop, Ryzen 5 3500U w/ Vega 8 graphics, 8GB DDR4, 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, B&O audio (device manager shows Realtek + AMD HD audio devices) Running Win10 2004 Volume at 100% it will be very loud for 1 second then just drop off as if muted. Not seeing any updates or newer drivers available at the moment. The problem occurs via built in speakers and headphones, so seems to be system wide. I'll check recent updates already installed, there was an HP one about a week ago that said something about audio port so it may be the culprit. Any other ideas what to check if that's not the problem? Thanks
